Last night's rehearsal reminded me why I love doing this.
Familiar music, fresh energy and that wonderful feeling of rediscovering songs you thought you already knew.
It was the first time we'd sung together since our Summer Show, and there was a renewed sense of spontaneity and discovery that made the music feel fresh again.
Looking forward to sharing it with another audience this weekend.

Lovely concert last night by the Borders Chamber Choir in Melrose. Full bodied singing took me back to my York Minster days and especially my time with Yorkshire Bach Choir. Finzi’s God is Gone Up was a highlight for me - I was all but singing along. Imaginative and decisive directing from Robert Marshall too. Well worth the travel from Spittal
