Ticketing update for at Berwick Slow Food

The Straw Yard will be open as a bar during the day and then at 6.30pm their box office will open to let you collect Comedy Tickets! (You can queue up before 6.30 if you want to be first)
There will be 50 Tickets available.
It's first come, first served.
Tickets will only be available for the day you collect them. If you come along both nights, you will need to get different tickets each time.

Chris Thorburn is a stand-up comedian based in Glasgow and a member of Scottish Comedy Award-winning comedy collective CHUNKS.
Winner of the 2023 Reykjavik Funny Fringe Award.
As seen on BBC's The Now Show, Breaking The News, Edinburgh Unlocked and Scot Squad.

Berwick's Damp Knight Comedy will also be there on both nights with their usual serving of surreal improvised comedy.

Entry to the Comedy Club is included in the entry to the festival but with limited seating you will need to go to The Straw Yard, on the day to secure yourself a ticket.

Hello,
Damp Knight Comedy here, Berwick’s hilarious (subjective!) comedy group.
Some of you will know us, but for those that don’t – we do improvised comedy shows where the audience give us spontaneous suggestions (some great… some horrifying) and we make up funny stuff about it on the spot, and as of 2025 we have been performing for 10 full years! Whaat!?
I know what you’re thinking, you see “IMPROV COMEDY” and you cringe and clench tighter than a lobsters derrière, but trust us, we’re really good fun, just go ask someone who has seen us before.

But, back on topic.
Naturally, we love Comedy and we would love to have more of it back in Berwick (and the surrounding areas too) so we are creating the “Berwick Comedy Club”.
We will be working with other comedians and the fantastic “Little Robot CIC”, based in Newcastle (littlerobotcic.com) to start bringing shows to our wonderful corner of the world.
Our plan is to be able to provide comedy shows to any venues that want them too. Working with Little Robot we will be able to tailor a comedy night to best fit the size, capacity and financial capability of the venues.
Now, of course, we would love to go full hog and have loads of shows straight away in all places but we know from experience that too much too fast, burns out very quickly, so we will be starting slow and building up audiences bit by bit, leading to some bigger plans and bigger shows.
We have a small handful of venues who we have spoken to already but if you have a place or know of somewhere that would like to be involved then please get in touch ([email protected]).
Berwick Comedy Club is not just going to be for us, it is going to be for everyone who wants it, we will simply act as the facilitators? organisers? delivery boys? – talk with us about what you are after and we can bring it to you.
But wait! There’s More!
As well as providing comedy shows we are also going to be running some workshops that will be covering all aspects of comedy from stand-up and joke writing through to improv etc. and then you can be part of the shows too.
