BLUE TUESDAYS START HERE! 🎶

We’re delighted to officially launch our brand new blues night at The Rock Bar, in conjunction with the Belfast City Blues Festival

Kicking things off on Tuesday 15th September, the fantastic Chris Taplin & Terry McHugh take to the stage from 8pm–10pm for a brilliant night of live blues music.

Our opening falls on a truly special date as we mark the first anniversary of Belfast blues legend Seamus O’Neill. The evening will proudly honour Seamus, his music and his incredible contribution to Belfast’s blues scene. 💙

Come along, support live music and help us begin an exciting new chapter at The Rock Bar.

The Lee Hedley Band at The Guinness Blues Cafe

The Belfast City Blues Festival's Guinness Blues Cafe at The Deer's Head Music hall was back with a bang on Saturday afternoon with The Lee Hedley Band!
Opening with with the Doors 1970 classic "Roadhouse Blues" set the scene for a great afternoon with members of Blues Dance: The Belfast City Blues Dance Scene taking to the floor, adding to the vibe in the room!

Add in a touch of Jim Reeves "He'll Have To Go" (Put your sweet lips a little closer to the phone), followed by Muddy Waters "Hoochie Coochie Man", through in a bit of FREE ("Walk In My Shadow/","Alright Now") and a great acoustic cover of the Leonard Cohen classic "Tower of Song" from 1988, just might give you an idea of what a great afternoon this was!

The Lee Hedley Band was Lee on vocals/harp and acoustic guitar, Sam Davidson on guitar/vocals, Lou Campbell on guitar, Aaron Loughran on bass/backing vocals and Lyn McMullan on drums.

You asked, we listened! Starting tomorrow at the Guinness Blues Café featuring the Lee Hedley Blues Band, you can purchase tickets to any of our upcoming events right at the door without paying a single booking fee.

Just speak to the team on your way in at The Deer's Head Music Hall! If demand is high, we’ll look into opening a full-time box office.
