🏆 PROUD TO BE FINALISTS! 🏆

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Gertrude Star Flute Band has been selected as a finalist at the County Awards Belfast 2026! ⭐️

We have been nominated in the category:

🥁 Best Blood & Thunder Band on Parade – 13th July ’26 Award 🥁

To be recognised and selected as a finalist is something we are extremely proud of, especially during our 65th Anniversary year.

A massive thank you to everyone who continues to support Gertrude Star, both on and off the road. Your support never goes unnoticed and means a great deal to everyone connected with the band.

Now we look forward to the awards! 🏆⭐️

Learners class going great. Some only starting off learning and some knowing a little bit more. But all equally getting on great. Well done young Zachary aged 8 who is doing very well.

The learners class continues tonight Westbourne Gsc 7.30pm

Complete beginners, experienced or you want to get back involved in bands.

Nows the time to get back into it hard graft will pay off over the winter months.

Great turn out of bands from right across the province. The South Fermanagh once again traveled the length of the country to attend as well as Constable Anderson Memorial from Larne.

Many bands looking to get away sharp as an early start in morning for the Apprentice Boys of Derry parade in Londonderry.

Hope the MYD had a successful evening and lifted plenty.
