Meet your Quire Committee for 2026/27!

Holding the fort down for another year is our Chair, Terry, with the help of Aidan as Vice Chair.

Backing them up, we have representatives across all four sections of the choir. Cecilia, Chris, Sophie, Larry, Ella, Harald and Tanya will be working behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Continuing to lead us musically is our devilishly talented MD, Niall, who’ll be keeping us sounding our very best.

And Deborah will also be helping keep our socials ticking over throughout the year.

Whether you’re just joining or a Quire veteran, our committee are here to help throughout the year ahead.

On Friday 18 September, you can catch us at:

Belfast Central Library: 6.30pm–7.00pm
The Merchant Hotel: 7.30pm–8.00pm
The Maverick: 8.30pm–9.00pm

Another AGM means another excuse to hand out some awards! 🏆

This year, we recognised:

🏆 Member of the Year - Aidan
👑 Chair’s Choice - Ken
🎶 Section of the Year - The Altos
🌟 Newcomer of the Year - Christine

A big congratulations to all four! 👏

The awards are a chance to give a special shout out to a few people who have made a difference this year, but as always, Quire wouldn’t be Quire without every single person who sings, organises, performs, helps out and shows up.

That’s us wrapped up til recruitment in September, but it’s gonna be another big year ahead for Quire! Keep an eye on the socials as we’ll be back to titillate your eardrums soon. 😘

As Northern Ireland's LGBTQ+ choir Quire Belfast, our hearts are heavy and deeply saddened by the awful news from Berlin. We send our love, harmony and fierce solidarity to our LGBTQ+ family and friends there.
Music and Pride have always been about lifting our voices in visibility, finding our belonging, and standing shoulder-to-shoulder. Times like these show us why those bonds are so vital. We will keep singing together, celebrating who we are in all our diversity, and refusing to let fear silence our community.
We stand with everyone hurt or affected, and hold fast to the hope that love will always out-sing the hate.
