We were delighted to welcome some of our friends and family for a little showcase of what we’ve prepared! ❤️

Can you recognise any of the songs we’ll be singing?

Cya next week, Brussels! 😉

The Quire Belfast community is shocked and deeply saddened by the news of the death of our former member, Richard Orr.

Richard was a much-loved member of Quire for many years, singing with great enthusiasm in our Bass section and also serving as a steadfast member of Quire’s management committee.

Our love and thoughts are with Richard’s husband, Jack, his daughter Zoe and the family circle. ❤️

Today, on World AIDS Day, we honour every life touched by HIV and AIDS with remembrance, with love and with the promise to keep singing for our community. 🌹❤️

To everyone living with or affected by HIV: you are seen, you are valued and you are never alone.

Let’s stand together, challenge stigma, celebrate progress and hold space for the work still to be done.

With love from all of us at Quire Belfast.

⭐️ HOW WE STAND… HOW WE BREATHE ⭐️

Back in March, we collaborated with Dumbworld and the Ulster Orchestra on a special project named How We Stand… How We Breathe! The song Listen All You Who Love was written for Quire to rehearse and was recorded live over 3 days and forms part of the film.

The project collaborated with groups from across Northern Ireland to explore identity, belonging, equality, fear, joy, and the rituals that connect us.

Tonight marked the first public screening of the films, bringing participants and audiences together to experience them collectively for the very first time.

The films are now available to stream online, allowing the work to be shared widely beyond the room.

Quire was honoured to take part in such an important project and we were proud to be in attendance at the premiere tonight!
