BBA (www.beckenhamballetacademy.co.uk) is a professional friendly school located 5 minutes from the centre of Beckenham offering professional training in Ballet, Lyrical and Contemporary classes to children from age 18 months . Most classes start at the barre with simple warm up exercises and a focus on posture and alignment of the body, progressing to more complex sequences ( nothing to be afraid

of ) to improve stamina and flexibility. We then move into the centre and use travelling sequences and jumps ( allegro) which get the heart rate pumping and a chance to really dance. At the end of each lesson we do a cool down to stretch out all the muscles we have used incorporating pilates based exercises to improve core stability and flexibility.
