Behind the scenes of Bath Refugee Festival
Over the last 6 months, a small but passionate team has been working together to bring the second edition of the Bath Refugee Festival to life.
This year, we're proud to be creating:
🌍 10+ events across Bath
🤝 11+ partner organisations
🎶 12+ artists and facilitators at our Big Celebration Event
🎟 Free tickets for refugees and people seeking sanctuary
✨ A city-wide celebration of culture, connection, and belonging
Behind the programme is a diverse team with roots in Sudan, Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, and the UK, united by a shared belief in the power of arts and community.
💛 Hiba leads the overall festival vision and coordination
🗓️ Andrea curates and leads the festival week programme
🎶 Eduardo leads the artistic programme for our Big Celebration Event
📱 Isabella has been leading content and communications in the lead-up to Refugee Week
🎥 Lucy will be capturing stories, moments, and highlights throughout the week
At the heart of our work is a commitment to celebrating culture, fostering belonging, creating meaningful connections, and contributing to a more welcoming Bath and beyond.
