We welcome Richard Cox to the part of Sergeant Mellors in Agatha Christie’s A Murder is Announced.
Richard is delighted to be playing Sgt Mellors with Mr Flaherty's Private Theatricals. Previous appearances with the company include the Verger in Dad's Army and Mr Frankland in My Boy Jack, so this is the first time he’s been expected to help solve the problem rather than simply comment on it! Richard has thoroughly enjoyed bringing Mellors to life and he hopes you enjoy the mystery as much as he’s enjoyed helping to solve it!

Introducing Ellen Marsh as Phillipa Haymes

Phillipa is a kind and compassionate young widow, whose quiet strength is tested as events unfold in Chipping Cleghorn.

Ellen is delighted to be returning to Mr Flaherty’s Private Theatricals for her third production as Phillipa, having previously appeared as Bobbie (Roberta) in The Railway Children. She’s thrilled to be back with such a wonderful company and especially excited to play a character she found herself relating to rather more than she expected!

She hopes audiences enjoy trying to beat Miss Marple to the solution and would like to thank Colin for inviting her to be part of another brilliant production.

This is Tracey’s fourth production with Flaherty Private Theatricals, her last was in Dad’s Army playing Mrs Fox.

We welcome Jacquie Marsh to the part of Mrs Swettenham in Agatha Christie’s ‘A Murder is Announced’.
Jacquie loves nothing more than a cosy crime drama with a cup of tea and a slice of cake. So, she is delighted to take up a role in this marvellous Agatha Christie production.
Having played many leading roles in Panto when she was in her twenties she is returning to the stage as Mrs Clara Swettenham. Mother to Edmund Swettenham, and village busy body. Definitely not one to miss out on the gossip or the fun of a real-life murder on her doorstep.

Meet Fe Berwick who is playing Miss Marple in Agatha Christie’s ‘A Murder is announced’. Miss Marple finds herself in the middle of a murder scene when visiting friends in Chipping Clegghorn. She cannot resist the intrigue and mystery, so sets her mind to solve it!
This will be Fe’s 4th show with Colin’s Private Theatricals but her first main part. She is excited and nervous in equal measures!

Leticia Blacklock is the composed mistress of Little Paddocks. Pragmatic and resilient, she is tasked with holding together a household of truly eclectic characters, managing the mounting tensions of Chipping Cleghorn with a steady hand. She is a woman who maintains a perfect veneer of order, even as a dangerous mystery begins to unfold within her home.
Abigail is delighted to be returning to the stage with Mr. Flaherty’s Private Theatricals. Having last appeared with the company in Move Over Mrs. Markham, she is relishing the chance to shift gears from the frantic energy of farce to the taut, atmospheric suspense of a classic Christie thriller. She is thoroughly enjoying the process of bringing such a pivotal character to life alongside this talented cast.
