Quiet on here lately, and there is a reason. We have been flat out.
Here is what the South Molton Pannier Market Heritage Project has produced since February:
ποΈ Fourteen voices recorded across the town's oldest rooms, the Assembly Rooms, the Courthouse and the Mayor's Parlour
π
Five recording days, with young people on the kit throughout
π§ Six listening mixes built for the exhibit, five finished and the sixth landing soon
π Eleven workshops with young people aged 11 to 25
πΈ More than 130 photographs logged, with workshop and market footage still being counted
ποΈ More than twenty heritage items curated and catalogued
π΅ The Community Charter Song recorded with the South Molton Singers, and the sounds of the market itself woven through
Young people have been on the kit, the cameras, the recordings as well as the interviewing - from the first session to the last. All of it is heading into a heritage exhibit at the Pannier Market, with one final recording, a 97 year old sharing her childhood memories of the market.
Come and see it all. Celebration Day, Saturday 4 July, South Molton Pannier Market and share the precious moments on the day with us along with our Team, our Volunteers and the Young People that made it happen - we are super proud of all of them! β¨β¨β¨
Big Thankyou to Adam Nichols, Pannier Market Manager for this lovely poster and South Molton Town Council.
Thanks to the Heritage Lottery Players.
