If at first you don’t succeed …

… chuck it in the bin and start again - and again - and again!

When I decided my next watercolour would be a hippo, I had no idea what I was taking on, it’s been a right old tussle!

… and I’m blushing typing this - I know I’m ever so lucky to have such insignificant challenges to tackle ☺️

Anyhoo, this is my final effort and I’m happy with him 😃

… and as you might expect, his card will say ‘Hippo Birthday’ 😊

A dashing little dachshund …

This is my latest watercolour - I hope he’s liked as much as I liked painting him 😊

He’s going to feature on a card with the greeting ‘yappy birthday’ and a little further into the year, I’ll pop a Santa hat on him and the greeting will be ‘yappy Christmas’ 😁

Oo and he might make his way onto one of my tote bags as well …

Right, on with the next addition to my collection … a hefty hippo 😃

Two lovely days …

…. in heART of HANDMADE ❤️

As always, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed helping out in the shop and seeing Emily’s customers creating super pieces in her fabulous classes.

I’m delighted that my little puffin continues to be so popular. My tote bag and other items (pictured) were running a little low, but I’ve stocked up, so we’re good to go again 😃

I’m going to be helping out all day … or probably more likely, getting under poor Emily’s feet!

It’s a smashing place to shop, full of gorgeous gifts and treats and as for the yarn Emily stocks, oh my goodness, if you crochet or knit, you’ll be in your element!

P-p-p pick up a penguin …
