Looking for somewhere to go this weekend? Why not visit the lovely Malton and pop in to see my sculptures being shown in The Wytchwood Gallery & Studio along with all the other beautiful artwork on display. You won't be disappointed!

I can't wait to get out with the dogs and it be light. And some sunshine would be a bonus! Although the dawn chorus is finally kicking in as we make our way home now, instead of the last owl mutterings.

This beautiful thrush, created to be seen singing her head off, is hand carved by Alan Slack of Nature's Hand and I can't believe it hasn't found a home to fly to yet. Why don't you celebrate the growing dawn chorus by taking her home?

I am sorry for the recent lack of posts but unfortunately I recently had to have shoulder surgery, which means I have had to have a break from sculpting but with my recovery now on track I am slowly making a start on a new owl project. I will keep you updated and I look forward to getting back to full steam soon.

This "little pe**er" woodpe**er has been created with an oak wood trunk along with a clay bird, hand painted to create this amazing bird. He is on display for sale at The Wytchwood Gallery & Studio in Malton, North Yorkshire. King of the sea.
I was inspired to make this shark after a visit to an iron sculpture park in Shropshire. It was one of many amazing animals on display. My particular sculpture has been formed with laminating wood and then using a slight charring effect which really highlights the layers. It is finally finished with dark wood grained fins and tail, and standing on a natural bark plinth. A true "king of the sea!".

I sculpted this magpie in clay and hand painted it in its striking bold colour palette. It is standing on a wood,hand turned milk bottle, with the feature of stealing the cream off of the top of the bottle. Sneaky thief!
