Sadly the Broadway will remain closed for the foreseeable future. Therefore the George Harrison Project performance due to take place in February 2025, will not now be going ahead. Customers with tickets will be contacted for a refund.
We are all extremely disappointed not to be able to bring you the great shows we had planned but are working hard to reopen as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued understanding and support.

Yesterday we bid farewell to our brilliant Technical & Building Manager, George Petty. George has been part of the Broadway for more than 12 years! He began as a student on the Technical Theatre course and progressed to become the Tech manager. He knows the building inside out and has seen hundreds of shows and is well known to our audiences and our hirers and professional shows. He is off to new adventures and we know he will be brilliant in any role he takes. We'll miss him and his cheery smile. Thanks for everything George. Good luck and have fun.

We’re so sorry for our colleagues at the Kenneth More Theatre as they deal with their own RAAC issues. Hopefully both they and the Broadway will be open again very soon to entertain our fantastic customers.

Following structural inspections, our engineers have discovered RAAC concrete in the Kenneth More Theatre, which means that sadly the theatre auditorium will need to be closed for the coming months.
We have had to cancel or relocate shows and events planned in this venue. We share in your disappointment that shows will not be able to go ahead including our beloved annual pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk.

Ticket holders will be updated and refunds for cancelled shows will be processed automatically. We are contacting the theatrical groups and organisations who have booked the Kenneth More Theatre, and will offer alternative space where possible.

Unfortunately the Broadway remains closed for the foreseeable future, and as yet we are unable to commence remedial work to remove the reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) identified in the building. Sadly this does mean there will be no Christmas pantomime at the Broadway this year.

Customers with booked tickets for shows in the autumn will be contacted.

We apologise for the disappointment or inconvenience this may cause.

The theatre team is working hard to reopen as soon as possible. We look forward to being able to deliver great new shows and new opportunities at the Broadway once we are able to welcome you back during 2025.
