Presenting my first Artist Trading Cards (ATCs)

A series of three, handmade by me using layers of collage

If you're not sure what ATCs are about - they're mini artworks that people create to trade with one another (not sell, those are ACEOs)

They're standard size of trading cards like MTG, Pokémon, etc so they fit perfectly in collector binders

I've found an online community for ATC trading in the UK, but I would love to discover ATC makers local to Aberdeenshire too! And maybe find some trading events?

I'd love to hear about what these mini artworks say to you. I of course had a meaning in mind, but I feel that art isn't complete until you hear how others interpret it.

🌸 The Fae Folk 🌸

A collection for the enchanted creatures who cannot go on a woodland walk without picking up special twigs and bits of moss.

For the individuals who see the spark of magic in the mundane, the little glimmers of light in the dark.

A feral heart, a wildling spirit - for those who frolick and scamper.

1) Rose quartz chips and pearlescent pink beads on a sage green crochet rope, decorated with a pretty in pink glass charm 🩷

2) Peridot and dark wood beads, weaved onto a lush grass green thread, finished with an antique bronze oak leaf charm 🍂

3) Dark wood, amber, and peridot beads adorn a forest moss green necklace, from which dangles a yellow-green ceramic flower charm 💚

4) Raspberry and leaf coloured agate beads, with a few small blush wooden beads, on a crochet vine, ending in a gorgeous glass raspberry charm 🍓

5) Sunstone and slick beads caught upon a sage green rope, flowing into an abalone shell charm 🌊

🌙 The Higher Self 🌙

POV: You pulled The High Priestess, The Empress, and The Hierophant in one three-card spread and now you have to decide which talisman will signal to other Mystic Creators that they have a new sister

Slow, ritualistic work brought these three crochet necklaces into being

Every charm and bead intentionally chosen, each stitch consciously crafted.

Is it a coincidence that these three were created during the new moon phase? Or are we all agreed that some things come just at the time they're supposed to?

1) A collection of beads carrying a moonlight vibe, on a deep gray embroidery thread crochet rope, gently suspending a metal crescent charm, adorned with a hanging crackle glass bead 🌙

2) Beads with a delicate shimmer and shine, weaved with crochet into a dark grey-green embroidery thread, and finished with a metal moon-phase charm protecting a cluster of moonlight mushrooms 🍄

3) Metallic beads and blue tiger's eye gemstones decorate a cobalt blue crochet necklace, to support a stunning silver metal moonface pendant

💕 The Inner Child 💕

Sometimes I can hear a small voice in my head say "I'm still in here"

These new crochet necklaces were handmade with her in mind - nodding while she tells stories of adventure, VHS tapes, a pink bedroom carpet, bath potions, and brightly coloured beads.

They send a message to the dopamine dressers;

"Growing up? Tf is that? Sounds awful."

1) Pastel crackle quartz cubes on crocheted bubblegum pink embroidery thread, finished with a butterfly lampwork glass charm 🦋

2) Yellow and green resin seed beads on lush grass green embroidery thread, and a lampwork glass charm featuring a dragonfly ☀️

3) A mix of gemstone and resin beads, weaved into a crocheted vibrant orange embroidery thread rope, and finished with a striking blue lampwork glass charm with the sweetest of flower designs 🌸

4) Multicolour resin beads on pale blue embroidery thread, with a delightful blue and white beetle lampwork glass charm 🪲

5) Coloured shimmery shell beads are weaved delicately onto a royal purple crochet cord, and to complete the theme - a gorgeous shimmery reclaimed mermaid charm 🧜🏻‍♀️

Something has been evolving in the quiet cosy hours, behind the doors that are closed to the harsh Scottish winter weather.

Slow and intentional work, creating a feeling rather than a product.

A little something to decorate the individual - to dress with dopamine in mind.

Today I made lots of teensy envelopes ✉️

Each one will be filled with a positive thought, sealed, and then stuck into my junk journal 📖

When I am going through something tough, when I'm particularly stressed, when I just need a pick-me-up, I will open one 💛

I followed the prompt "Notes When I Need Them" from my new favourite book A Year of Junk Journaling by 💛

I have a wonderful support network around me, but a note from my past self, when I was in a better frame of mind, is something I know can help me

Free and/or cheap! That's been the goal of my TikTok since last year

Free and/or cheap ideas/ways to have adventures and just generally have some more joy in your life - save money so you can have a little extra cash to spend on something that makes you smile

My motto has been "We're skint, but we deserve to be happy" 🌞

So I've just uploaded a junk journaling video - why? Because it's a Free 99 hobby.

You do not need to buy loads of supplies, it is one of the most income-accessible hobbies out there.

And I'm sharing it here because it's one of my creative pursuits!

So if you're a budget queen, looking for a cheap hobby, or just like a good craft video binge - take a look 👀

OMG!!!

I just discovered this vintage Laura Ashley Home Decor catalogue from 1985 in my random stash of art supplies!

I completely forgot that I had picked it up from a charity shop last year - HOW I forgot, I will never know 😱

This catalogue is packed full of original Laura Ashley designs for wallpaper, fabric, tiles, and so much more!

Just LOOK at those gorgeous patterns - I cannot WAIT to get snipping and cutting these out for my junk journal stash!

A true gem from the 1980s, I couldn't help but choose one of my favourite UK Hit Singles from 1985 - Love & Pride - to accompany some of my favourite examples from the catalogue 😍

📣 CRAFT SUPPLIES REQUEST 📣

If you are local to Banff/Turriff and have magazines lying around that need recycling, I would be so grateful if you'd allow me to take them off your hands ♻️

I don't have the money to buy a tonne of them for my junk journal stash 🙏

Most magazines APART from ones featuring;

- Nudity
- Bigotry of any kind (racism, transphobia, ableism, you get the idea)
- Anything whatsoever to do with King Wotsit 🇺🇲 or indeed any corrupt and dangerous "human" beings

My general top list of genres for magazines include;

- Arts and Crafts
- Vintage/retro content
- Home and Lifestyle
- Wildlife/Nat Geo/Nature (huge bonus for Fungi/Mycology)
- Fashion
- Photography
- Puzzles (bonus if some of the puzzles are already done, I love that personal touch!)

- History (archaeology)
- Witchcraft

But honestly I'd be so grateful for any magazine in good, clean condition 💛

I can pick them up from you on certain days, or if you're happy to drop them by I can give you my address via DM if I know you 💛

Just because you're in bed with strep throat, doesn't mean you can't be creative! Once the serious plague effects die down that is...

I received A Year of Junk Journaling by for Christmas from my beloved

He knows how much I love paper crafting and junk journaling so this was the PERFECT gift 😍

I was going to go through the prompts in order, but since the first week of 2026 involved him taking serious care of me in my sickness, all I could think of was doing Prompt Five - Mon Cheri

A page dedicated to him, us, our family 🩷

I've used scraps from all over, but my favourites are in that little envelope in the bottom left corner - there's two cute notes written by Kev in there 🥹

My second favourite scrap is the little piece of Love Hearts wrapper on the right hand page in the bottom left corner - sweeeeet 🍬 (inspired by Martina's Mon Cheri journal page!)

I also nabbed a wee metal charm from a chocolate teddy collar, used some ancient pink lace, and put my new acrylic paint pens to the test throughout 🥰
