One last scoop down memory lane.🍦

We all have that one place we have core memories of as a child. Well for us Ballymena folk, it’s here.

Sliders, 99s, their famous raspberry sauce, train sets, comics, lucozade from a glass bottle, pick n mix, fantastic window displays and the tastiest ice cream in the land made fresh every day to be savoured with family and friends. I even filmed my first sketch here back in 2019 with Sandra playing a starring role behind the counter serving up a raspberry ripple!

What more can you say. A Ballymena institution since 1922 shuts its doors today for the last time, because seemingly rates increases and pay rises for politicians (that they didn’t want 🫣) are more important than the places that reared generations.

Thanks for the memories Mcgroggans - you’ll be missed. 😢
