💙THROWBACK THURSDAY🧡

Personally for me, the best night had within the ranks of Pride of the Maine, the last night of our 50th anniversary band, walking through ‘the cut’ in Banbridge🤩

51 years, not out, we still carry on!💙🧡

A new week begins in the parading calendar which sees us out twice this week in Ballymoney, first on Wednesday night for Dunaghy Flute Band and then Saturday for Dunloy Accordion Bands’ 70th anniversary parade, we wish both bands many successes for their parades this year.

That means a week off from band practice, but it will resume the following week if you are interested in joining a band, send us a message or see any band member, we are currently recruiting in the flute corp, no experience is needed as we hold a learners class from 7pm-8pm on Tuesday nights in Galgorm Orange hall💙🧡

A brilliant day was had yesterday on parade in Ballymena. The weather was on our side and there’ll be a few burnt folk about today, the crowds were fantastic and a major thank you goes to the spectators who lined the streets with bottles of water for everyone on their way to and from the field.

10 mile on the clock done, a few sore boys and many a blister but we march on💙🧡

In other news, the Belfast Telegraph couldn’t of picked a better person for an interview than our Fletcher🧐

So, in the words of Fletcher, “YEOOOO UP THE TWELFTH”💙🧡

All of the members of Pride of the Maine would like to wish all of our friends and followers a very happy and safe 12th of July ( even though its the 13th 🙈 lol). We hope you all have a good day celebrating wherever you are. The band will be parading in Ballymena today and look forward to seeing everyone out to support the annual Boyne Celebrations! 💙🐵🧡

The Glorious Twelfth💙🧡

Pride of the Maine Flute Band wishes everyone associated to the band and our supporters a wonderful Twelfth day. The sun is shinning in Ballymena and the forecast looks much the same for tomorrow☀️

We hope everyone has a safe enjoyable day tomorrow wherever you may be celebrating, remember your friendly local bandsmen and bring a bottle of water to spare if you can for those with the red faces😅🤣

We will be on the road from 10am tomorrow morning from the Toome Road💙🧡

With the Twelfth Day only 4 days away, were going back to 1987 today to the end of the return route the band take in Ballymena after coming home from the Belfast Twelfth demonstrations where the band walk back to the Coach Bar.

Parade Number 2 for us this weekend sees us head to the capital once again, this time to take part in Gertrude Stars parade. Gertrude Star are one of the best bands in the country and it was a pleasure to have them at our parade this year. We look forward to returning the favour tonight and hope the hosts get a great turnout and have a good night. 💙🐵🧡
