The group, which is part of Bucks Open Studios, will be showcasing works in a wide range of media including; painting, printmaking, textiles, illustration, ceramics, metal sculpture, and silver jewellery. The event, which takes at the Green Dragon Eco Centre in Hogshaw 16-25 June, will give visitors the opportunity to talk to the artists as well as see them at work as most will be demonstrating th
eir artistic practice throughout the event. In addition, they will have a wonderful array of art on display and for sale. Artists at Green Dragon has also been working to include the local community and has invited North Bucks Primary Schools to enter a competition to create 2D/3D dragons made from recycled materials. The finished dragons from will be displayed at The Green Dragon Eco Centre during 16th - 25th June for the visiting public to view and vote on their winner. The competition is also part of Children’s Art Week. Last year, more than 13,000 people took part in an amazing 109 events across 95 wonderful venues all around the UK. On Tuesday 20th June the group will welcome Buckinghamshire potter Elaine Wells (recent contestant from BBC 2’s Great Pottery Throwdown) as a guest. Elaine will spend the afternoon (2pm – 6pm) on her wheel demonstrating her craft. There will also be a talk by Cathy Read on being a contestant on Sky Art’s Landscape Artist of the Year
