A year ago we were busy at Pimhill Barn creating floral designs for a 'Beauty and the Beast' themed wedding. Looking forward to the end of lockdown and being creative with floral displays again.

Spring is all around us and currently, with time on our hands, if, like me, you pop out to buy milk and return with a bunch of tulips, here is a photo of how you could display them. Tulips are a favourite flower of mine and I couldn’t resist having a play with them this afternoon.
A few basic tips:
Remember to ensure vases and other receptacles are clean before arranging flowers in them.
Cut stems at an angle and change the water regularly.
To aid flowers longevity, keep them out of draughts and away from hot radiators or direct sunlight.
Tulip stems in water will continue growing, so if you want to maintain their original length, only submerge tips in water.

Back to basics today, no cellophane or sellotape used in the creation of an eco-friendly bouquet for delivery.
Brown paper, twine and hessian ribbon used instead.
It was just a shame there was no phone or camera to hand to take a photo!

We are delighted to announce that we are returning to The Cafe On The Hill, Welsh Frankton, on Thursday 14th March, between 1pm and 3pm, for a Spring Flower floral creations’ workshop led by Eileen.
