We're living in a fantasy world, of course we're going to have cool abilities! Playing as your character your abilities can sometimes be played as verbal calls. Each call is unique and has its own effect allowing you to throw out some incredible weapon skills and magic.

Stormborn takes place in the world of Eryndor. A harsh landscape where magic has been absent from the world for a 1000 years. All of a sudden there have been strange happenings seen all over the world and you with the Stormborn clan are now roaming the wildlands, to figure out what is happening. All the work that's been happening in the background has finally come together for the first time. This is the first look into Eryndor and the Stormborn clan. There's a lot more to come but I'm super excited to share this first glance with you.

Safety is one our top priorities at Stormborn so today we're talking about LARP safe weapons. Its super important to ensure that any weapon you use is sufficiently safe. LARP safe weapons are usually foam surrounding a fibreglass core. Thrown weapons are made of foam with no core.

All weapons will need to be safety checked before uses if you're ready to invest in your own weapon, we'd recommend speaking to Twisted Goblin Armouries who are helping provide weapons for the Stormborn events.

Building your first costume doesn't have to be complicated or expensive! Think of your costume in layers rather than a whole outfit. You can pick and choose the layers you like best without breaking the bank.
Tshirt and trousers Tunic Belt Coat or jacket Armour pieces Cloak And other accessories such as gloves and jewellery.

Lets talk clothes and costume.

For out of game time you want to make sure you've got warm and comfortable clothing.

Comfortable footwear is essential as you could be on your feet quite a bit throughout the weekend.

Next your costume, for a basic costume you can start with a simple old worldy shirt and trousers. If you're not ready to invest in a costume, an unbranded tracksuit and t shirt will do the trick.

Here's what you need to fully enjoy your first Stormborn event

To get the best Stormborn experience, there are a few things you will need to set yourself up for success.

Your Stormborn success kit list:
Your ticket
Your tent (In character or out of character)
Clothing, warm clothes, waterproofs and your costume
Some form of bed and bedding
Water
Sufficient food and snacks
Toiletries
Medications if needed

Speaking from experience, we want you to have everything you need for your event.
