Kev Oldham Artist

Kev Oldham Artist I am a painter, my main focus being on painting photorealistic scenes . I started drawing when I was very young and have been painting for over 20 years now.

I hope that you enjoy my artwork. Born in Brackley, UK, in 1971, I am a self taught artist who paints intricately detailed contemporary landscapes. From empty streets to busy roads or a simple laundrette, I look to find beauty in the humblest of places.

🙂'Red Gate, Amble'. 6" x 8" Coloured pencil on toned paper.
This tiny pencil drawing is one of a series exploring the local architecture of Amble and surrounding areas. This piece contains a lot of textured materials. Each layer of pencil(oil based polychromos)is applied in layers, gradually building up colour. The pencils are sharpened with a knife, then applied to sandpaper for an extra fine point, for even more detail. Thanks for looking.
