I wasn't even planning on doing another Funk Off until the School Disco in February.

Then I started getting messages...

I know Halloween is a tricky date for some folk, especially if you've got kids and you're out trick or treating, and obviously people have other commitments — that's life.

The feedback on the interest post has been a mixed bag – some of ye are buzzing, some can't make it – but I've decided to go with it anyway.

📅 Saturday 31st October 🕔 5PM – 9PM 📍 The Post

Fancy dress is an absolute MUST – no excuses. We want vampires, witches, zombies, skeletons... or whatever mad costume you can come up with. 🧛‍♂️🧙‍♀️💀

Expect a night full of belters, spooky bangers, singalongs and another dancefloor packed with the best crowd about.

Then when the music finishes at 9, the party's no over... karaoke will be on through the back, so yez can sing until yer heart's content. 🎤

Please note: there'll be no access to the main pub after the event, so once we're through the back for karaoke, that's where the rest of the night continues.

This is Funk Off #3... and we're going to make it an absolute screamer. 🎃🔥

I know I said the next Funk Off would be School Disco in February 2027... buuuuuutttttt enough of ye have pestered me saying that's far too long to wait! 😂

The only date we've got available is Saturday 31st October... and how convenient is that? 🎃👻

So before I give this the green light...
Would you Funk Offers be up for a Halloween party from 5pm–9pm, then karaoke afterwards? 🕺🎤

Fancy dress would be compulsory, the tunes would be spooky bangers and dancefloor classics, and we'd make it another night to remember.

Right troops... Funk Off Up The Dancin' might be over, but don't be thinking that means the Friday Tunes stop coming! Last Saturday was unreal, and we're already buzzing for the next one. ❤️🪩

This week's Friday Tune is an absolute masterpiece...

🔥 Stardust – Music Sounds Better With You 🔥

This one's a special one for me. Daft Punk were a massive influence on me wanting to become a DJ, and this track is part of that story.

Stardust was a one-off project made up of Thomas Bangalter (one half of Daft Punk), Alan Braxe, and vocalist Benjamin Diamond. They got together, created one of the greatest feel-good house tracks ever made, and then... that was it. One release, one timeless classic.

Nearly 30 years later it's still filling dancefloors, still sounding fresh, and still proving that sometimes one tune is all it takes to make music history.

Out of all the amazing pics I’ve been sent, I’ve saved these 3 because they’re honestly my favourites. ❤️

I think these 3 photos sum up exactly what these events are all about and why I do them. Seeing people enjoying themselves, letting loose, having a laugh and just having an absolutely brilliant time is what makes it all worthwhile. 🕺💃❤️

You can genuinely see in these how much everyone is enjoying themselves, and that makes me so bloody happy! 🥰
