🌟🎤 STARS IN THEIR EYES 2027 — CONTESTANTS WANTED! 🎤🌟

Right folks, here we go again…

Easter Sunday — Sunday 28th March 2027 — we’ll be bringing Stars In Their Eyes back for another night of questionable singing, questionable costumes and, hopefully, some genuinely brilliant performances! 😂

Over the past couple of years we’ve had some familiar faces stepping up to the challenge — and honestly, it’s been brilliant having you all take part.

BUT… COME ON! 😆

Let’s give the veterans a wee break this year and get some NEW BLOOD into the mix! 👀

Whether you can actually sing, think you can sing, or are simply confident enough to get up in front of a crowd and make an absolute tit of yourself… we want you! 😂

We’re looking for contestants for Stars In Their Eyes 2027, and we want to make this year bigger, better and even more ridiculous than last year.

And, as always, it’s all for a fantastic cause, with the event raising money for St. Andrew’s Hospice ❤️

Fancy giving it a go?

📩 Message me if you’re interested in taking part.

Come on, newbies… where are you?! 🎤🌟

🎃 A LITTLE BIT OF BAD NEWS… 🎃

Unfortunately, I’ve had to make the decision to CANCEL FUNK OFF IT’S HALLOWEEN. 😔

It’s obviously not a decision I’ve taken lightly. Halloween was always a bit of a gamble, and unfortunately this time the gamble just hasn’t paid off.

I’m gutted because I had some great plans for this one, but I’d rather make the decision now than put on an event that doesn’t have the atmosphere, energy and crowd that Funk Off is all about. ❤️

But every cloud has a silver lining…

It means I can make everyone a BIG promise…

🪩 2027 IS GOING TO BE BIGGER & BETTER FOR FUNK OFF EVENTS! 🪩

And we’re already getting started with…

🎒📚 FUNK OFF SCHOOL DISCO 📚🎒
📅 SATURDAY 6TH FEBRUARY 2027

I’ve already given you a little taste of what’s coming with this one, and believe me, I’ve got some big plans for it! 👀

So while Halloween might not have worked out this time, Funk Off is absolutely not going anywhere.

A massive thank you to everyone who bought tickets, shared my posts, tagged their mates and supported me. ❤️

I genuinely appreciate every bit of support.

🎃 Halloween might be cancelled…

…but 2027 is going to be one hell of a year for Funk Off. 🪩🔥

☀️🎶 BIG HEID ENTERTAINMENT'S FRIDAY TUNE 🎶☀️

Right troops... we're going back to 1997 for this week's Friday Tune!

🔥 Dario G – Sunchyme 🔥

There are some tunes that just sound like sunshine, and this is one of them. ☀️

Those whistles, that infectious beat and that instantly recognisable sampled chant — it all comes together to create one of the biggest feel-good tunes of the 90s.

It doesn't need a big vocal or complicated lyrics... just stick it on and let the music do the talking. 🎶

A proper nostalgic belter that still sounds absolutely brilliant nearly 30 years later.
So get yourselves into that Friday feeling, crank this one up and enjoy the sunshine! ☀️😎

As always, troops...

🎶🔥 BIG HEID ENTERTAINMENT'S FRIDAY TUNE 🔥🎶

Right troops... this week's Friday Tune is a proper one.

We're going with... 🔥 Faithless – Music Matters (Axwell Remix) 🔥

And this one is a little bit different for me because the lyrics are literally everything I'm about.

It's not about the money.
It's not about the fame.
It's not about the followers, the likes or how many people know your name.
It's always been about the music. ❤️🎶

That's exactly why I DJ, why I love putting on events, why I spend ridiculous amounts of time looking for tunes, building playlists and trying to create those moments when a song comes on and the whole place just loses its s**t. 😂🕺💃

Music can take you somewhere. It can bring back a memory, change your mood, bring people together and create a moment you'll remember for years.

And for me...
MUSIC MATTERS. ❤️

So stick this absolute belter on, crank it up and remember why we all fell in love with music in the first place.

🔥🎶 BIG HEID ENTERTAINMENT'S FRIDAY TUNE 🎶🔥

This week, after sadly losing The Queen of Country, the one and only Dolly Parton ❤️

The woman who always slept on her back… cos she had to. 👀

In football, she always had two up front… ⚽️⚽️

And let's be honest… she had a cracking ………… pair of lungs on her! 😂😂😂

So this week's Friday Tune can only come from the one and only Miss Dolly Parton…

🔥 BABY I'M BURNING 🔥

And what an absolute BANGER this is! It's Dolly, but not quite the Dolly you might expect — proper disco, funk and dancefloor vibes. 🪩🔥

So crank this absolute belter up and give the Queen of Country the send-off she deserves!

As always, troops...

🎃 RIGHT FUNK OFFERS... I NEED TO GET SOMETHING OFF MY CHEST 😂 👻

I wasn't even planning on doing another Funk Off until the School Disco in February.

Then I started getting messages...

"You need to do a Halloween one!"
"I'd 100% be up for that!"
"That's a brilliant idea!"
"Do it, we'll be there!"

So... I listened to ye! 😂

And now that the tickets are actually available, suddenly everyone's got somewhere else to be! 🤣

I know Halloween is a tricky date for some folk, especially if you've got kids and you're out trick or treating, and obviously people have other commitments — that's life.

But if you were one of the folk telling me "DO IT!", now's your chance to put your money where your mouth is. 😂
