The TAKEOVER is an exciting, annual, one- day, site- specific, ‘pop-up’ intervention exhibition at Aberystwyth Arts Centre.The exhibition will feature a wide range of interdisciplinary projects such as performance, workshops, installation, mixed media assemblage, text, video and sound by 2nd and 3rd year students on the Creative Arts and Fine Art Interdisciplinary Practice modules in the Institute

of Art and Humanities at Aberystwyth University. Fourteen exciting, challenging and original responses and interpretations to the architecture, culture and creative programme will directly and subtly engage with ‘sites’ in and around the Arts Centre offering new understanding and awareness of the Centre and its role within the Abersytwyth community. The exhibition, curated by the 3rd years, enables the student participants to celebrate their own work and support the work of their peers through this unique public platform. Students will welcome you with a guide- book and gifts at the welcome desk outside the great Hall between 11.00 – 3.00pm

Scheduled 30 minute guided tours will be leaving the welcome desk at 11.15, 12.15, 13.15 and 14.15

Please join the ‘Mindful Walk’ by 2nd year student Alan Jefferies, leaving the Arts Centre at 4.00pm, followed by a Tai Chi performance and workshop in the Bandstand on the Promenade at 5.00pm.

Please join Q&A sessions after the show. Starts at 3pm in the Arts Centre Cinema.
