🌿🦜This summer, Le Sel de la main simply wouldn’t have been the same without them.

Preparing the space, welcoming the groups, cooking, tidying up, improvising, carrying things, cleaning, starting all over again… and above all, sharing the everyday life of the workshops with such generosity and energy.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers and Workawayers who gave their time, their hands, their ideas and their presence to help bring this place to life throughout the summer.

Behind every workshop, every table set, every meal and every shared moment, there is also all this often invisible work.

I often speak here about Le sel de la main, but I realise that I have never really introduced myself.

My name is Babette Boucher, a contemporary jewellery artist and visual artist. My path has taken me between Paris, Munich and Marrakech, where I lived for several years.

It was there that the idea of Le Sel de la Main first emerged. Encounters with artisans, materials and traditional gestures inspired the desire to create moments of work and exchange around contemporary jewellery and artistic practices.

Today I organise workshops with invited artists for people who want to explore techniques, materials, or simply take time to create.

Applications for the summer workshops are open.

Je parle souvent ici du Sel de la main, mais je me rends compte que je ne me suis jamais vraiment présentée.

Je suis Babette Boucher, artiste du bijou contemporain et plasticienne. Mon parcours s’est construit entre Paris, Munich et Marrakech, où j’ai vécu plusieurs années.

C’est là que l’idée du Sel de la Main a commencé à prendre forme. Le contact avec l’artisanat, les gestes, les matériaux, et les rencontres ont nourri l’envie de créer des moments de travail et de partage autour du bijou contemporain et des pratiques artistiques.

Aujourd’hui j’organise des workshops avec des artistes invités, ouverts à celles et ceux qui souhaitent explorer une technique, un matériau ou simplement prendre du temps pour créer.

Les inscriptions pour les stages de cet été sont ouvertes.
