Probably the most over the top singing clip I ever posted. Not necessarily representative of the final product. Anyway live with it's that sings the opening. And the whole song is a duet. Ee have yet to play it in front of people but that's another story.

The neck for the guitar that I want to have ready for the Kinky Boots show is slowly getting there... Maybe I'll manage to actually rehearse with it 😅

Anyway, the fingerboard went on tonight, and BTW I'm filming the entrie process so I'll post a short clip once it's done.

I'm slowly getting back into singing.. so here's my tribute to Kinky Boots. This has nothing to do with the current production BTW, which is going to be absolutely brilliant singing and dancing and not some dude on black background. And you should not miss it (trust me, I know).
I just took this song because I like it, and it's a great exercise for the mid-upper mix voice. Took me a few weeks to figure out a balance that I was reasonably happy with. So here it is, hope you like it!

Today we wrapped up the 2026 Polish Teacher programme at CERN. Look at all the happy faces!
These are always just so rewarding, seeing how much interest they have and how exited they get.

As a result of my playing in the live band for the production of Kinky Boots I need to resurrect this guitar.
This is the Nylon 1, the first guitar I built from scratch. A solid body nylon string. And I need a nylon string for a couple songs for KB. It's just that the guitar is obviously missing a neck. I took it off some time ago and gave it to my dad (mounted on another guitar), planning to remake the neck for this one one day.

Well, one day has come.

First step: select the woods for the neck laminate. I raided my offcuts stash and went with the selection pictured here: ovangkol, maple, wenge, with a flame maple center strip. Let's glue all of this up.

Our family adventure with continues. This year Karolina has been cast in her dream role of dancing drag queen aka Lola's angel in Kinky Boots, after Piotr performing the title role in Jesus Christ Superstar last year (also his dream role btw).

Piotr was supposed to stay home with the kids this year but somehow ended up on guitar in the live band.

The show is 28-31 May - save the date and stay tuned for more stuff!

It was SO COOL to have a big team show up at Hardronic for our show. (Not even all of them are in this photo). You guys gave us so much energy rocking out right under the stage 🔥🔥🔥

This is Annabella as Mary Magdalene. As opposed to Judas, this character wasn't passed off at me in every scene. I'd say rather the opposite. It was a lot of fun. 🙂

But where Annabella really shines is the emotional scenes later in the show where her dark deep voice and acting brought people to tears (literally, I've heard first hand).

The unsung hero of is the beautiful who for 5 months tirelessly took care of the house, the kids with their schools, friends' birthdays, football tournaments and other stuff... well, life in general - while I was busy playing "musical theatre actor".
And then she'd still find time to bake something for me to bring and share with the cast.

In return she can now call herself "wife of Jesus"

(This post reads like I was politely asked to write something like this lol)
