Images from TO SHARE A STOMACH, a group exhibition at The Brick in Los Angeles, organized by Aram Moshayedi.

In a letter to Aram, Tayyari imagines a way of arriving in Los Angeles when physical passage is no longer possible. She sends her presence through her aunts’ scarves and perfumes, transforming them into vessels carrying family memory. The work reflects on displacement, longing, and the transmission of Iranian identity across generations.

“I will travel through their dyed blonde hair. Through everything they changed and everything they could not.
At the end it was the only way I could arrive when nothing else was allowed to pass.
By soil.
By spit.
By scent.”

To mark its 40th anniversary, Swiss Institute (SI) revisits Regift, the landmark 2009 exhibition originally organized at SI in New York by John Miller with Piper Marshall. Co-produced by SI and Luma Foundation, the anniversary edition is presented at Luma Westbau, bringing together original participants alongside an expanded selection of artists whose practices engage with questions of generosity, exchange, and value in contemporary contexts, with over 50 artists across two floors reflecting four decades of SI’s program and international networks.

Artworks from the exhibition have been generously donated to SI and are available for purchase. Please see SI’s website for more information. Sales inquiries can be directed to [email protected].

Images from The Longest Sleep, an installation by Rafik Greiss () with Galeria Municipal do Porto (). Centered on mawlids, gatherings dedicated to local Sufi saints, the work explores the human quest for transcendence through collective ritual and altered states of consciousness.

Originally exhibited at Balice Hertling in 2024, Greiss continues to develop a practice that moves fluidly between moving image, installation, and performance.
