Marvin Scholas

Born in Normandy, France, Marvin Scholas grew up with British rock/pop influences. Living in UK, close to the trip-hop and post rock cradle, she got inspired and was part of the post rock band "Lost in the attic"(https://m.soundcloud.com/marvin-scholas/cotentins-lament) then moved to Paris and started to compose alone. Her love for harmonies and band cooperation lead her to be part of a French Par

isian choir "Les Voisins du Dessus" (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DHjeRHDg9UI). With this choir she performed several times all around the city, but also sang as backing vocals for famous artists such as Henri Des, les Enfoires, Rockaway ELA, in prestigious places (Olympia, Zénith de Bercy, L'Européen, la
Gaité Montparnasse), during TV shows (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eWl7RJ_OyxY), in video clips (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=g_sM2wvt9_0) and audio recordings. In the mean time, she met with Stephanie Blanc and Jérôme Levatois, with whom she formed the band "Somewhere Else", which was a mix of their three different musical worlds. An EP was born from their collaboration (https://m.soundcloud.com/marvin-scholas). The TV series "Coeur Ocean" used their music for their fourth season (http://www.otherside-production.com/projects/coeur-ocean-3/?format). They played a few concerts and finally went back to their respective projects. Marvin took on a more acoustic direction (guitar and cello with Daphné Hillaire https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9debDWhKo60 ) and started to perform solo since she moved to New York...

Hey folks! Here is a video shot two years ago. It is about how I found myself during those three years spent in New York City, thanks to expatriation, my Vikings friends and Mindfulness community...
Coming back to Paris was a difficult choice, old patterns, old fears and habits often brought me down more than I could have guessed, but I really needed to come back to face them and not only run away from them. The fight within is real, but I’m surrounded by love, hope and so many wonderful people, I’m so grateful and I’m going to win over all what I was wrongly conditioned to be...

Thank you Paul Terrie for your wonderful work, Benoît Le Devedec for your music, your presence and your friendship and Jean-Marie Leau for always being there, as a friend and as a music master!
I want to bow to my sweet cousins Jean and Patricia and their children who welcomed me in their family and warmed me so much from their whole hearts (as Isa and Andrea, my Italian family did too), I’m forever thankful.
A special dedication to Lisa Romano and her work, you’re my lighthouse in this journey back home 😉
And of course, to my awaken Buddha, my original angel, who’s teaching me so much day after day, Josette Alpha the love of my life 😍
I’m no more scared, I’m no more ashamed, I’m who I am, NAMASTE ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you to my friend Benoît Le Dévédec and his Mindful way of playing the guitar and adding more soul to this precious song.
Also thank you to my friend Jean-Marie Leau, who recorded the voices at his great studio and who helped me to open myself freely to my music dreams since we know each other, so blessed!!!

Namaste to all of you, I’m so thankful to have you all in my life >>

»... Merci Mathieu!!!

Check out the new song of my friend Mathieu Eveillard, it was such a great pleasure and honor to work with him on the backing vocals.
His poetry and his sensibility always move me deeply. Can’t wait for the release of the entire album in June!!!

Hey folks!!!
A year ago, my first music video was done. I was so excited but wanted to use it to promote my first solo album. Time went fast, I moved back to Paris, had new professional challenges and didn’t have time to work on this album...
So today I decided to put the video out, maybe a first step to finally work on this album :))) The master Paul Terrie produced it and I’m so grateful for his work!!! I also had the chance to be joined by great Amalia Guégan on cello and the talented - and so awesome 😉 - Alessandro Magania.
And of course New York, where I found myself, where I finally felt home, was the ideal stage for this video... Enjoy it 🎬🎤🎸🚕🗽❤️❤️❤️ Marvin Scholas
Ps: the original cello part is composed and played by the wonderful and lovely Daphne Hillaire, thank you Daphné for this collaboration, I miss you so much 😘😘😘
