✨Unlock New Watercolour Skills ✨

A new workshop by कला Konnect x Maharashtra Mandal France is here! 🎉

Join us for a creative afternoon with talented watercolour artist Suchita Khisty , where you’ll explore the magic of the wet-on-wet technique 🖌️🫟

‼️Participants are requested to bring below materials:

1. Papers 300 gms(Any brand is ok) 23x31 cm size is good. (*2 paper required - one for practice and one for actual painting)
2. Brushes 2-3 round medium size brush with a liner brush if possible.
3. Colour palette with basic colours like red, yellow, blue.any brand is ok
4. Water containers
5. Paper napkins or cotton napkins to wipe out brushes.
6. Pencil, sharpener and eraser.

✨ First Workshop ✨

कला Konnect x Maharashtra Mandal France kicked off its very first workshop — “Decode Shlokas, Discover Sanskrit” beautifully hosted by Sampada Savardekar ( ) on 22 March 2026.

It was a truly enriching and interactive session where participants came together to chant well-known shlokas and dive deeper into:
• The meaning behind the words
• The beauty of Sanskrit grammar
• How Sanskrit shapes Marathi and other Indian languages

The workshop created a warm, engaging space filled with learning, curiosity, and cultural connection. It was wonderful to see everyone actively participating and rediscovering the depth and elegance of Sanskrit 🌼

✨ This is just the beginning! कला Konnect will be bringing many more interesting and interactive workshops every month.

महाराष्ट्र मंडळ फ्रान्सतर्फे सर्वांना गुढीपाडव्याच्या हार्दिक शुभेच्छा!

गुढीपाडवा हा हिंदू नववर्षाचा शुभारंभ मानला जातो. हा दिवस नव्या संकल्पांचा, नव्या उमेदेचा आणि जीवनात सकारात्मक बदल घडवण्याचा संदेश देतो. वसंत ऋतूच्या आगमनासह निसर्गही नव्या रूपात फुलतो, आणि त्याचप्रमाणे आपल्या जीवनातही नवीन ऊर्जा आणि आनंद घेऊन येतो.

महाराष्ट्रात हा सण अत्यंत उत्साहात साजरा केला जातो. घरासमोर सुंदर रांगोळी काढून, दारात तोरण बांधून आणि गुढी उभारून या दिवसाचे स्वागत केले जाते. कडुलिंब आणि गूळ खाण्याची परंपरा जीवनातील गोड-तुरट अनुभव स्वीकारण्याची शिकवण देते. गुढी ही विजय, समृद्धी, यश आणि सकारात्मकतेचे प्रतीक मानली जाते.

भारताच्या विविध राज्यांत हा सण वेगवेगळ्या नावांनी साजरा होतो—कर्नाटक, आंध्र प्रदेश आणि तेलंगणात ‘उगादी’ म्हणून, तर इतर ठिकाणीही नववर्षाचे स्वागत विविध परंपरांद्वारे केले जाते, पण भावना मात्र एकच—नवीन सुरुवात आणि आनंद.

This auspicious day marks the beginning of the Hindu New Year and symbolizes fresh starts, renewed hopes, and positive transformations. With the arrival of spring, nature blossoms with new life, reflecting the same spirit of growth and renewal in our lives.

In Maharashtra, the festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm and cultural pride. Homes are beautifully decorated with rangoli, doorways are adorned with torans, and the Gudhi is hoisted as a mark of victory and prosperity. The traditional practice of consuming neem and jaggery signifies embracing both the bitter and sweet experiences of life with grace. The Gudhi stands tall as a symbol of success, happiness, and good fortune.

Across India, this festival is celebrated in different forms—known as ‘Ugadi’ in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. While traditions may vary, the essence remains the same: welcoming the New Year with joy, gratitude, and hope for a prosperous future.

We are proud to present the first Maharashtra Mandal France × कला Konnect workshop, beginning our journey by reconnecting with our roots.

The workshop will be hosted by Dr. Sampada Saverdekar, a Sanskrit and Yoga instructor, who will share her knowledge and guide us through this enriching session.

Sanskrit has deeply influenced many Indian languages, including Marathi. From the Devanagari script to vocabulary and sentence structure, Marathi shares a profound connection with Sanskrit.

In this interactive workshop, we will chant well-known ślokas and explore:
• The meaning behind the words
• The beauty of Sanskrit grammar
• How Sanskrit shapes Marathi and other Indian languages

पुरणपोळीच्या गोडीत आपुलकीची चव अनुभवली.
आणि मग आली धुळवड — रंगांची उधळण, हास्याचा गजर आणि आनंदाची बरसात.
दोन दिवस संस्कृती, स्नेह आणि अविस्मरणीय आठवणींनी रंगलेले.
