The Oldest House in France 🇫🇷
This house is in Aveyron, 700 years old and dates back to the 13th century. She belonged to a certain Jeanne. The ground floor is smaller than the top floor, because at that time, we only paid taxes on the occupied land. It was some sort of common tax saving "cheat".
The house also reveals that Jeanne was relatively rich, as it is built of stone.
