Paris Art Week 2026: Nine Fairs, from Contemporary Art to Collectible Design
Every autumn, Paris becomes one of the centres of the international art market. Major fairs, independent projects, exhibitions and gatherings bring gallerists, artists, collectors and art professionals from around the world to the French capital.
From 18 to 25 October 2026, the art itinerary stretches from the Grand Palais to Place de la Concorde, and from the Monnaie de Paris to the Carreau du Temple. Contemporary art, collectible design, photography and experimental visual practices come together in a programme that reveals different facets of artistic life and the market.
Each event has its own distinctive character: the international scope of Art Basel Paris, the intimate setting of Private Choice, the independent scene at Paris Internationale, or the dialogue between design and historic architecture at Design Miami Paris.

5th edition | 23–25 October 2026 | Grand Palais
The fifth edition of Art Basel Paris brings together 211 exhibitors from 41 countries and territories. Around thirty galleries are participating for the first time. This is the first Paris edition under the direction of Karim Crippa, who succeeds Clément Delépine.
The programme is organised around three sectors. Galeries forms the main section of the fair; Emergence presents solo projects by emerging artists; and Premise brings together curated presentations that extend familiar historical and geographical boundaries, including through the inclusion of works created before 1900.
Art Basel Paris extends beyond its gallery booths. Developed in collaboration with Parisian cultural institutions, the public programme takes the fair beyond the Grand Palais and connects it with the city’s artistic life.

3. Moderne Art Fair: A Dialogue Across Eras
22–25 October 2026 | Place de la Concorde
Moderne Art Fair returns to the temporary pavilions on Place de la Concorde, where it established its home in 2025. Its proximity to the Grand Palais makes it a convenient stop on the Paris Art Week itinerary.
The fair brings together modern art, contemporary art and design, inviting visitors to trace connections between eras, artistic movements and materials. Gallery presentations are complemented by thematic exhibitions, talks and meetings.
Projects announced for 2026 include the participation of the Institut du monde arabe as guest of honour, a presentation of the LIN Xiang Xiong Museum, and the exhibition “Reflets de Giverny — 100 ans Monet”. The programme connects historical subjects with contemporary artistic practices, sustaining the fair’s central idea: a dialogue between different periods in art.

4. AKAA: Art from Africa and Its Diasporas
11th edition | 23–25 October 2026 | Carreau du Temple
AKAA — Also Known As Africa — is dedicated to contemporary art and design from Africa and its diasporas. Beneath the glass roof of the Carreau du Temple, galleries, artists and collectors from France and abroad come together.
The fair invites visitors to consider African art scenes not as a single movement, but as a multitude of independent practices shaped by different histories, territories and cultural contexts.
New for 2026 is AKAA PHOTO, a section marking the bicentenary of photography. Its focus is the continent’s visual memory: urban transformations, independence movements, the reinterpretation of traditions and the expectations of new generations. Photography serves here as an artistic statement, a historical record and a means of re-examining history.
Address: Carreau du Temple, 4 rue Eugène-Spuller, 75003 Paris
Dates: 23–25 October

5. Design Miami Paris: Collectible Design in a Historic Mansion
4th edition | 20–25 October 2026 | Hôtel de Maisons
The fourth Paris edition of Design Miami takes place at the Hôtel de Maisons on rue de l’Université. The fair brings together galleries, designers and collectors around historic and contemporary collectible design.
The venue itself plays a particularly important role. Instead of a neutral exhibition pavilion, visitors enter a historic mansion where furniture, lighting and decorative art objects engage in a dialogue with the architecture.
Presentations occupy the rooms, courtyard and garden. This format allows objects to be seen not only as individual exhibits, but also as elements of a spatial composition. The juxtaposition of different eras, materials and craft techniques becomes one of the central themes of the Paris edition.
Gallery presentations are complemented by installations and discussions devoted to collecting and contemporary design.
Address: Hôtel de Maisons, 51 rue de l’Université, 75007 Paris
Dates: 20–25 October
Invitation-only preview day: 20 October

6. Paris Internationale: The Independent Scene and New Discoveries
12th edition | 20–24 October 2026 | Quai de Valmy
Since its founding, Paris Internationale has championed an independent, intimate approach to the contemporary art fair. Its focus is on emerging artistic voices, experimental practices and galleries willing to propose unconventional exhibition formats.
In 2026, the project expands its geographical reach: the first Milan edition of Paris Internationale took place in the spring. In the autumn, the fair returns to Paris while retaining its nomadic character.
The twelfth edition occupies a building on quai de Valmy, in the Canal Saint-Martin neighbourhood. The choice of a new venue continues the fair’s dialogue with urban architecture: the space becomes not merely a backdrop, but part of the encounter with the works.
Paris Internationale offers an alternative to large exhibition pavilions, encouraging more direct contact with gallerists and a closer examination of individual artistic approaches.
Address: 187–189 quai de Valmy, 75010 Paris
Dates: 20–24 October

7. Asia NOW: Memory, Emotional Connections and Contemporary Asia
12th edition | 20–24 October 2026 | Monnaie de Paris
The twelfth edition of Asia NOW takes place at the Monnaie de Paris. Dedicated to contemporary art from Asia and its diasporas, the fair combines gallery presentations with a distinct curatorial programme.
This year’s theme, Sentimental Value, considers how memory, emotional connections and the passing on of experience shape our relationship with works of art.
Earth occupies a special place, both as an artistic material and as a repository of stories, memories and ideas of belonging. This theme connects personal experience with broader questions of heritage and cultural memory.
Installations, performances, film screenings and discussions occupy different spaces within the Monnaie de Paris. The fair invites visitors to discover the diversity of Asian art scenes without reducing them to a single geography or aesthetic.
Address: Monnaie de Paris, 11 quai de Conti, 75006 Paris
Dates: 20–24 October
Invitation-only VIP preview: 19 October

8. OFFSCREEN: The Image Beyond the Screen
5th edition | 20–25 October 2026 | Chapelle Saint-Louis de la Salpêtrière
The fifth edition of OFFSCREEN returns to the Chapelle Saint-Louis de la Salpêtrière. The venue’s historic architecture creates a distinctive sense of scale for experiencing photography, film, video and installations.
Rather than following the familiar succession of gallery booths, OFFSCREEN emphasises spatial experience and experimental forms of image-making. The works interact with the building’s volume, the lighting and the movement of visitors.
The artist of honour for the 2026 edition is Ana Mendieta, presented by Marian Goodman Gallery. In her practice, the body, landscape and natural elements are inseparably connected. Performance, photography and film become ways of addressing presence and disappearance, memory and belonging.
Within the chapel, the presentation of Mendieta’s work brings the relationships between image, body and space into particularly sharp focus.
Venue: Chapelle Saint-Louis de la Salpêtrière, 75013 Paris
Dates: 20–25 October
VIP preview: 19 October

9. Private Choice: Art and Design in a Domestic Setting
18–25 October 2026 | Quartier du Palais-Royal
This year, Private Choice moves to a new address in central Paris, at the corner of rue de Rivoli and rue de l’Échelle, near the Louvre and the Palais-Royal.
Nadia Candet and her team once again transform a Haussmann-style apartment into a temporary exhibition space. Painting, sculpture, photography, furniture and design objects are displayed together in an interior that retains the character of a home.
This setting defines the Private Choice format. Instead of the neutral walls of an art fair, visitors discover how artworks interact with one another and with an everyday living space.
The project combines an exhibition with the opportunity to purchase works, offering a more intimate encounter with art and design. Visitors can not only examine individual objects, but also imagine them as part of their own surroundings.
Address: à l’angle de la rue de Rivoli et de la rue de l’Échelle, 75001 Paris
Dates: 18–25 October, daily from 12:00 to 20:00
Visits: By prior registration
