My wall for the amazing Asalto festival in Zaragoza this september!

The theme for the year was ’La Jota’, a traditional genre on music originating from Aragón.
Castañuelas are one of the more characteristic instruments of the music and they are played in the rhythm of 3/4. Like so I have used the instrument in the bottom part in groups of three, hoping to find a connection with the sound of running deers in our imagination as we look at the wall.

I’ve had the most amazing time in and I’m beyond delighted to have had the chance to paint with such festival. I am so grateful to the whole organization, lovely neighbours and fellow artists for having the best time with me and making me feel very loved 🧡🧡🧡

This is also a part of the ongoing exhibition at the center until 27.5!
The rooster is present in few paintings in the exhibition as a symbol of the individual/mass in a society from different point of views.

In this part of the staircase I’ve presented two habitats, kelp forest and mangroves. The species presented are all local to their environments.

One of the bigger projects this year has been the chance to illustrate walls of ! Thanks to Sanna for trusting me with the project ❤️
I love marine life so I have enjoyed researching species, their habitats and behaviour. I have tried my best to paint the species as factually as possible, with the help of wise people working at sealife, especially and aquarist Jouni!

Species found in this hallway are Whaleshark, mantarays, barracuda and pinnate batfish from the juvenile form to adult.
This is the exhibition exit hallway and I will be posting the entrance hallway soon! 🦞
