Final touches for this piece 🐱🎨

I love watercolour for its versatility and because it requires very little preparation. It's easy to set up anywhere, although I usually paint at home anyway. But with two little kids I'll take every extra second I can save 😆

The first piece I sold at my first exhibition in 2025.
Joutsenet (Swans) is a watercolour piece about being free together, and travelling towards the same goals.
Swans are known to mate for life, and it seems to me it's something that most people strive for as well. Swan is also Finland's national bird, and this piece even has the same colours as our flag: blue and white. I love Finland and its light summers, just like the swans that travel hundreds of kilometers here to nest.

Hello, a little introduction of myself for people who don't already know me 😊

I'm Niina, an artist from Finland. I've loved drawing since I was a child, and in a time where we had no cellphones, I spent most of my days drawing or singing. Music and painting are both a big part of my life and soul, but I've only recently gotten back to painting. In 2024 I started painting more seriously, studying techniques and compositions, and though I'm still learning (to the day I die), I've achieved a lot already: 24 sold pieces, 3 exhibitions in 1,5 years and at least two more to come this year. 🫶✨❤️
I work and live in Hämeenlinna at the moment, but we have plans to move to Vietnam (my vietnamese sucks, just so you know 😅). My husband is Vietnamese and together we have two beautiful boys. We also have two beautiful cats, that are an endless source of inspiration 😻

In October 2024 I did something crazy.
I quit my job and started pursuing my dream of being an artist. I had no back-up plan, just this burning desire to make art. Soon after that, in January 31.1.2025 opened my very first exhibition in RaamiDaamit in Hämeenlinna. It was a great experience that I still reminisce fondly. Since then, I've had my pieces in two other exhibitions as well.

I'm still finding my voice, but the passion remains. I love watercolour (which I hated in school) and acrylics (which I also hate a little bit), and I don't want to limit myself to just one technique.
