International quartet Curawaka invites us on a journey through the soundscape of «sacred world music», a unique lush sound coming from the love of the natural world and its ancestral native cultures. Deeply rooted in the sounds and frequencies of the wild heart, Curawaka explore the very essence of ritual song and let it unfold in soaring and groovy Latin American folk rhythms. Vocalist Anna Bariyani sings in seven languages, including Hatcha Kuin, Yawanawa, Sami, Spanish, Portuguese, English and her mother tongue, Norwegian. Their live show is a heart-opening and soul-nourishing journey through jungles and deserts, mountains and forests; through emotions and memories, with a strong prayer pulsating at its core, a prayer for humanity and for Mother Earth. Through their musicianship, creativity and connection to the sacredness of nature, Curawaka touches something deep within us, reminding us of something deep, ancient, precious, something beautiful, magical, and indeed, sacred.

Giving thanks for another magical time in Iceland! Seeing our first total solar eclipse, playing the Iceland Eclipse festival, catching up with friends from all over the world, the saunas, the ocean, the 700,000 year old glacier, the volcanos, the mythical landscape, the wild nature, the strong spirit, the beautiful Icelandic tribe… Celebrating Annas birthday 🎂, Aurora Boreal, horses and waterfalls, caves and offerings, amazing food and just overall… gratitude!

Out Now! 🙌 We are so excited to share the new remix in our Dreamtime Remixes EP! Following the release of Ida Engberg's incredible remix of the title song, Dreamtime, last Friday, J∙Pool now reveals his vibrant reworking of Shamboriri on Nixi Music!

Shamboriri is inspired by the teachings of the Blue Deer and the whispers of the sacred winds of the Wirikuta desert. It is the vision of uniting all hearts, bringing a thousand songs together in union, and the prayer for humanity to return to its essence, the goodness. That we again align ourselves with our true purpose, to take care of the beautiful garden we call our home planet, to live in in harmony with nature, who provides for us and gives us everything. That we pass on this legacy, simple yet profound, to our children and grandchildren, for all coming time. That is how we can protect the miracle of life. This is the dream we believe lies within the hearts of us all. This is the purpose of Shamboriri - to summon this dream into reality.

The song features Don Eusebio López Muwieri Xaure from the indigenous Wixarika people of Mexico, who supports with his ‘canto del marakame’ - a powerful and sacred medicine song, which calls in the spirits of the desert Wirikuta in order to hear and support the message of the song. Muwieri Xaure Eusebio López also plays the traditional instruments of canari and a Wixarika violin.

NORTH AMERICA TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT! We are so happy to finally share that our visas are approved and YES we are coming to the United States, for the very first time! 🙌🏼

Sharing our music and prayers across 7 states this fall, we are making our US debut with intention of fanning the fires of hope, planting seeds of alliance and aligning our missions for a brighter reality for all.

Deep gratitude to the great people at Pivotal Agency and Reciprocity Music who have been supporting us at every step, to for sponsoring and collaborating on five events and to each local collaborator for coming together for this momentous tour.

Wowwww, it’s wild seeing our songs reworked in such a BIG way, and being played to these huge dancefloors! We are so excited for ’s Dreamtime remix to arrive on Friday, the first of 5 to come each Friday from then. This remix EP came out better than we could have imagined and we hope you love it as much as we do 🙌

BIG NEWS! Our second album Dreamtime just received a dancefloor upgrade. Five songs have been selected and reworked by some truly epic electronic producers, people we deeply respect and admire who have made major magic with our songs. 💫

Aurora Spirit Retreat 💫 Sitting besides the ancient fire of the North, the true shaman who has seen all that has ever been and will see all that is yet to come, is a huge element of our work on retreat. Nestled above the arctic circle, where the veil is thin and the spirits so, so close, our work is amplified intensely. Particularly with the spirit of the fire, the Grandpa who hears our prayers so tangibly, who has the power to absorb and transform our fears, to bring clarity to our thoughts, to bring healing to our spirits. Whispering our hopes to the dancing flames brings a spiritual transformation that’s hard to describe - it simply must be experienced.

The magic that arises when we sit close to Tatewari, Grandfather Fire, and honour his infinite power is the sweetest nectar. As the flames dance above the ice in these frozen lands, we feel more connected than ever to the raw force of nature and we learn ways to work with this, to bless our lives and to bless all that surrounds us. 🔥❄️🙏
