Quick sketches of the Alessandria citadel in the Piemonte region, Italy. A huge fortress, shaped like an elliptical hexagon, lies across the Tanaro river in the lowest zone of the Piedmont region. This strategic military quarters from the 18th century served as a barrier of transits traveling along the “Road of Flanders”. Built entirely at the expense of an ancient quarter, today is a huge outdoor space where people can take walks, relax, or visit their museum. The foliage that has taken over the buildings throughout time makes it the perfect home for the feline colony living there. 🐈🐈‍⬛
