🇪🇸⬇Quite a big holiday is on its way in the upcoming week!
On Monday, December 6th it is Constitution Day here in Spain meaning quite a few businesses will be closed and Wednesday, December 8th is The Feast of the Immaculate Conception (Día de la Inmaculada Concepción) both are national holidays for the whole of Spain. Most shops and banks will be closed some may also be enjoying the “Puente” meaning they will bridge the holiday over Tuesday, December 7th. Larger chain supermarkets will be open on Tuesday but will be shut on Monday and Wednesday (or on festive opening hours), so please check if you’re planning to get some shopping in. Everything will be back to normal on Thursday.

🇪🇸¡Hay unas vacaciones bastante grandes en camino en la próxima semana!
El lunes 6 de diciembre es el Día de la Constitución aquí en España, lo que significa que bastantes negocios estarán cerrados y el miércoles 8th de diciembre es la Día de la Inmaculada Concepción ambos días son festivos para toda España.
La mayoría de las tiendas y bancos estarán cerrados, y algunos también pueden estar disfrutando del "Puente", lo que significa que cerrarán también durante el martes 7 de diciembre. Las cadenas de supermercados más grandes estarán abiertas los martes, pero estarán cerradas los lunes y miércoles (o en horario festivo), así que verifique si planea ir a comprar. Todo volverá a la normalidad el jueves.

🇪🇸⬇Tuesday, October 12th is a local bank holiday for the whole of Spain. Most shops and banks will be closed. Larger chain supermarkets will be open on Monday but will be shut on Tuesday all day, so please check if you’re planning to get some shopping in. Some businesses will be shut on Monday as well so it´s worth checking if they are open before heading out. Everything will be back to normal on Wednesday.

🇪🇸 El martes 12 de octubre es un día festivo local para toda España. La mayoría de las tiendas y bancos estarán cerrados. Las cadenas de supermercados más grandes estarán abiertas el lunes, pero estarán cerradas los martes durante todo el día, así que verifique si planea comprar algo. Algunos negocios también estarán cerrados el lunes, por lo que vale la pena verificar si están abiertos antes de salir. Todo volverá a la normalidad el miércoles.

🇪🇸⬇The school calendars are finally ready with those important back to school dates. Attached to this post, you can find the calendar for the province of Granada.

The national and regional holidays are as follows (these can be important to keep these in mind even if you are not at school):

October 12th 2021 (Tuesday). National Day of Spain.

November 1st 2021 (Monday). All Saints' Day.

December 6th 2021 (Monday). Spanish Constitution Day.

December 8th 2021 (Wednesday). The Immaculate Conception.

January 6th 2022 (Thursday). Epiphany of the Lord.

February 28th 2022 (Monday). Andalusia Day.

April 14th 2022 (Thursday). Maundy Thursday.

April 15th 2022 (Friday). Good Friday.

May 2nd 2022 (Monday). The following Monday after Workers' Day.

It's worth mentioning that each town also has the right to choose two extra holiday days, so keep your eyes open for those.

Los días festivos nacionales y regionales son los siguientes (estos pueden ser importantes para tenerlos en cuenta incluso si no está en la escuela):

12 de octubre de 2021 (martes). Fiesta Nacional de España.

1 de noviembre de 2021 (lunes). Día de Todos los Santos.

6 de diciembre de 2021 (lunes). Constitución Española.

8 de diciembre de 2021 (miércoles). La Inmaculada Concepción.

6 de enero de 2022 (jueves). Epifanía del Señor.

28 de febrero de 2022 (lunes). Día de Andalucía.

14 de abril de 2022 (jueves). Jueves Santo.

15 de abril de 2022 (viernes). Viernes Santo.

2 de mayo de 2022 (lunes). Lunes siguiente a la Fiesta del Trabajo.

Vale la pena mencionar que cada ciudad también tiene el derecho de elegir dos días de vacaciones adicionales, así que mantén los ojos abiertos para ellos.
