In Ghana, the government officials ride in $100,000 SUVs, cars that are not fuel efficient. They don’t pay for fuel, the poor Ghanaian does. They ride around in a convoy of over 30 SUVs now do the math over $3 million dollars and depreciating. Cars that are meant for snow and desert, non of which Ghana has. and the only reason they ride in those cars is because of bad roads, common sense should tell you to fix the roads, so you don’t have to ride in such expensive cars. Meanwhile women are having babies in hospitals and have to lay on the floor because of lack of beds. School children sit on dirty floors under trees to study. People don’t have access to clean water to drink. Government officials leave Ghana to the west to seek medical attention, buy homes in the US, UK, Dubai etc, whiles Ghanaians are left to deal with bad medical system ,schools, housing market most of them can’t afford. Ghanaians are one of the most easiest people to deal with, doesn’t take much to make them happy why can’t they be respected and treated with dignity. There are no jobs, Ghanaians had Covid tax imposed on them and now e-levy. With all the resources Ghana has, a country the size of Michigan, Ghanaians shouldn’t be suffering like they do now. I think no Ghanaian government official should seek medical attention outside Ghana, shouldn’t send their children to school abroad, shouldn’t buy homes or any type of property aboard. It should all be illegal. They should declare all their assets and financial statements before they are appointed. And these records should be public.
