During her residency at Casa R.A.R.O., Dieula Aléus .dieula explored personal projects centered around the relationship between the female body and nature. Choosing to leave behind the art materials and routines she had at home, she embraced Barcelona as an opportunity for a true restart — allowing new surroundings, experiences, and rhythms to shape her process.
“For me, the residency became a way to slow down and rediscover the joy of creating without focusing on perfection or the final result. It was more about the journey itself — observing what was around me, taking it all in, and letting that gradually become part of the work.”
Through this process, her practice evolved into an exploration of presence, observation, and connection, where intuition and everyday experiences became central to the development of the work.
