What a weekend. ❤️🍷

To everyone who attended the 2nd Annual Oxford Uncorked—thank you. Whether you traveled across town or across the state, your support, enthusiasm, and love for great wine made this year’s festival truly unforgettable.

To our wineries, importers, distributors, chefs, sponsors, volunteers, the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council, and every person who worked behind the scenes—thank you for believing in this event and helping us continue to build something special for Mississippi’s wine community. This festival only happens because of the incredible people who pour their time, talent, and passion into it.

Our goal has always been bigger than one day of tasting wine. It’s about bringing people together, introducing new producers, creating lasting friendships, and growing a wine culture that we’re proud to call our own.

We can’t wait to do it all again.

Oxford Uncorked 2026 🍷

As we catch our breath and reflect on another incredible Oxford Uncorked, one thing stands above everything else: gratitude.

To every guest who bought a ticket, every winery and importer who poured incredible wines, every chef and restaurant who shared their talents, every volunteer who gave their time, and everyone who simply showed up with a smile and a glass in hand—thank you.

What started as an idea has become something much bigger than a wine festival. It’s become a celebration of the people who make Mississippi’s wine community so special. Seeing hundreds of people gathering to discover new wines, meet producers, share conversations, and support local businesses reminds us exactly why we started this journey.

Every year we’re inspired by the enthusiasm and passion you bring, and it motivates us to keep raising the bar. We’re committed to continuing to grow this event, introduce more world-class wines to our state, and create experiences that connect people through great food, great wine, and great company.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making the 2nd Annual Oxford Uncorked such a memorable day. We couldn’t do it without all of you.

Oxford Uncorked is proud to welcome Chef Erika Lipe of SoLa Oxford!

A Mississippi native and one of Oxford’s most celebrated chefs. Her signature style blends Southern roots with bold global influences, creating inventive dishes that are both comforting and unexpected. From Gulf seafood to handmade pastas, every menu reflects her passion for creativity and exceptional ingredients.

In 2024, Erika was crowned the first Queen of Mississippi Seafood, further cementing her reputation as one of the state’s premier culinary talents. At SoLa, her philosophy is simple: honor tradition while never being afraid to push boundaries—a perfect reflection of the spirit behind Oxford Uncorked.

We’re thrilled to have Chef Erika joining us on July 11 to showcase the incredible talent that makes Oxford’s food scene one of the best in the South. Be sure to stop by and enjoy a bite from one of our hometown favorites!

We’re thrilled to welcome back Chef John Stokes of Tarasque Cucina to Oxford Uncorked 2026! 🍷🍽️

An Oxford native, John has earned a reputation as one of Mississippi’s most talented and thoughtful chefs. Classically trained in French and Italian cuisine, his cooking is rooted in Old World technique while celebrating the incredible ingredients and flavors of the South.

While we’ll never pass up one of Tarasque’s incredible handmade pastas, it’s John’s ever-changing weekly small plates—crafted around the freshest seasonal ingredients he can source—that truly showcase his creativity. Every visit offers something new, and that spirit of discovery is exactly what makes his food such a perfect fit for Oxford Uncorked.

We can’t wait to see what bite John has dreamed up for this year’s festival and how it will pair with the outstanding wines being poured throughout the day.

🍷 Please join us in welcoming Juan Rochaix of Brazos Wine Imports to Oxford Uncorked 2026!

Born and raised in Argentina, Juan’s passion for wine began long before he entered the industry. As a young boy, he spent afternoons at his neighborhood wine shop discussing new arrivals and helping select bottles for family dinners. Those early conversations sparked a lifelong love of wine and the people behind it.

Over the years, Juan has built a career centered around sharing that passion—working in wine marketing, building thoughtful wine lists, educating hospitality professionals, leading consumer tastings, and helping connect people through great bottles and memorable experiences.

At Brazos Wine Imports, Juan represents one of the country’s most exciting South American portfolios. Brazos specializes in artisan, estate-grown wines from small family producers across Argentina and Chile, with a focus on single-vineyard, terroir-driven wines that showcase a true sense of place. These are soulful wines crafted with authenticity, character, and respect for their origins.

We’re thrilled to have Juan join us on July 11th to pour these incredible wines and share the stories behind the families and vineyards that make them so special.

Forget the old rule that red wine belongs at room temperature. Chilled reds are one of the hottest trends in wine, especially with younger drinkers looking for fresh, easy-drinking summer pours. Light-bodied reds like Gamay, Pinot Noir, Frappato, Grenache, Lambrusco, and Mencía shine with 20–30 minutes in the fridge, bringing out vibrant fruit, bright acidity, and incredible refreshment. This summer, don’t be afraid to put your red wine on ice—just make sure it’s the right red. For Catherine, this isn’t just another festival stop—it’s a homecoming.

Originally from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Catherine spent her college years right here in Oxford at the University of Mississippi, where she worked her way up to General Manager at the legendary City Grocery. It was there that her passion for wine truly took hold, traveling across the Southeast to meet winemakers, taste great bottles, and learn from the people behind them. That journey eventually led to a decades-long career in the wine industry and her current role as Vice President of Business Development at The Sorting Table.

Today, The Sorting Table is one of the country’s most respected importers, representing an extraordinary collection of family-owned wineries from around the globe. Their portfolio is built around authentic growers, thoughtful farming, and wines that speak honestly of place—from France, Spain, Austria, Germany, South Africa, New Zealand, and beyond.

Catherine has spent her career championing producers who are true stewards of the land and sharing their stories with wine lovers across the country. We couldn’t be more excited to have her return to Oxford to pour, share, and celebrate wine with us.
