The lady I normally use for cakes was on vacation and I needed a birthday cake.

I was so apprehensive using someone different but I had no choice.

Sweet Nabq what can I say?

Wow just wow đŸ€©

You made the most wonderful birthday cake.

The cake was so moist (I hate this word) and light and the frosting was to die for.

You were so accommodating with all my demands (those that know me know I have plenty) and you fulfilled every single one of them.

Apologies for the photos, these are screen shots from the videos.

Would I use you again? Definitely.
Would I recommend? Hell yes.

“What’s for dinner?”

“Let’s order pizza”

“Where from?”

“Il Vizietto, Nabq Bay, Sharm El Sheikh”

After a long while of not ordering delivery pizza from Il Vizietto after many disappointing deliveries, we gave it 1 more chance. We always eat in the restaurant but deliveries haven’t always been 100%.

Aren’t I glad I gave in.

I called a few times but there was no answer so after 3 or 4 failed attempts they called me back. The food came after around 30 minutes, piping hot, full of toppings and so flavourful.

I ordered a Tuna and Mushroom pizza and a Cheesy Garlic Bread pizza. Yum yum.

The pictures doesn’t do it justice and I forgot to take pictures when I opened the box.

Well done Il Vizietto, I am one very happy and satisfied customer 😁.

ARAB BUCKS

Arab Bucks is not the Egyptian version of Starbucks, although; I have been told they do good coffee and cake.

Our table was pre-booked by friends, this is something we always do when eating here as it gets very busy in the evening. Don’t worry too much if you don’t, they will always find you a table.

Our waiter for the evening was Mario, drinks order was taken first and we all had separate bills (11 of us) so he had his work cut out already. A bottle of red wine ordered by me, this was served at room temperature and not from the fridge, so far a good start.

Menus were handed out and we we left to see what we were to order.

There’s loads to choose from so you will always find something. The only down side for me is that they serve frozen chips not homemade chips; everyone knows the rule, homemade chips with steak. Anyways I very rarely order anything that comes with chips and today I went with spring rolls to start and Fettuccine chicken and added fresh mushrooms and extra garlic and garlic bread for my main.

All the starters arrived together and then there was silence 😆, spring rolls were delicious, crispy on the outside and vegetables inside which were full of flavour and served with dark soy sauce. Highly recommended.

Starters cleared away and then we didn’t wait long for our mains. Again, all mains arrived at the same time. My fettuccine chicken was mediocre, it’s chicken in a cream sauce. I added tons of black pepper and still it was bland even with the added fresh mushrooms and extra garlic, and the ïżŒchicken was tough. It was edible but nothing to write home about. Maybe next time I will ask to add mixed peppers and onion to give it more flavour.

It appeared that everyone enjoyed their meals as all plates were empty including mine which normally is a good sign.

No desserts were ordered as we had a birthday cake.

When the bills were presented they were all correct.

All in all a very pleasant evening, good food, good company and excellent service, well done Mario.

This is a restaurant I visit regularly so there will be lots of reviews here.

Rixos PREMIUM Seagate

They don’t call it PREMIUM for nothing!!!

Wow, wow, wow.

Where do I start..... food, drinks, entertainment, food, drink etc.

This hotel had me at hello.

First of all you are taken through security then walking into main entrance, being greeted with a welcome drink, luggage taken off you and given to concierge, being taken to reception, smooth and speedy check in, explanation given of the hotel by Guest Relation then taken to you room on a private buggy.

The rooms are fantastic, everything you need for you stay, toiletries (shaving kit, toothbrush & toothpaste, comb, loofah, shower cap, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel) a packed mini bar (Juhayna juice, Heineken beer, Omar Khayyam white & red wine, Schweppes Tonic Water, Sprite, Coca Cola, Twix & Mars Bar), towels, bath robes and slippers.

The first thing on my mind was where are we going to eat for lunch, we decided to go to the main restaurant Turquoise which is buffet style (don’t let that put you off as it is so spacious and never seems overcrowded as it has 2 levels). There is also inside and outside dining.

After eating enough food to feed at least 20 grown men and drinking Rose Champagne we hit the 28°c heated swimming pool and indulged in a multitude of cocktails and some sunbathing. The only downside I have so far is that there are far too many sun loungers crammed in, it almost felt like I was in Benidorm! We had a relaxing afternoon.

The time is now 4pm and I’m now feeling a little peckish 😉. So we head to the lobby bar for afternoon tea! No tea was consumed only beautiful presented sandwiches and more drinks.

We then went back to the room for a doze in the bed fit for a queen and to get ready for the evenings antics.

We decided to eat in one of the À la carte restaurants called People’s, the menu wasn’t too big and there was enough options for everyone to choose from. I chose steak and lamb chops, I didn’t enjoy the steak as I found it dry, overcooked and tasteless the lamb chops were on a different level, they were rare, moist and packed a punch, I would highly recommend them. I still had room for desert and went for the Madagascan Creme BrĂ»lĂ©e which wasn’t anything like Creme BrĂ»lĂ©e, I couldn’t wait to put my spoon through the crispy top.........but where was it? Yup that’s right, no crispy top could be found, much to my disappointment.

Anyways I didn’t let that put me off and we followed the noise to the evening entertainment. By the time we got there the children’s entertainment was over and it was adults time. We played games and the disco started. After I couldn’t dance anymore we called it a night and went to bed. Please note; more food was being served somewhere else but I had seriously had enough, I was ready to pop.

Morning has broken and all that was on my mind was breakfast.

We made our way to Turquoise and all I kept thinking about was Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon 😍.

I then went for a back massage in the ladies only spa, they were so welcoming but I wish a few of us had booked in as it was lonely in the steam room, and sauna. The massage was amazing just what I needed after all the stress I had having to choose which drink I would have next and where we were eating our next meal!

It was like ‘Ground Hog Day’ where we had a repeat of the day before, that evening we went to Salt Seafood restaurant, another À la carte. It was out of this world, words cannot describe how good it was. You will have to book and try for yourselves.

We visited the aqua park which is across the road, you get to it using a buggy through the underground tunnel. Would have enjoyed it more in warmer weather, but the slides and wave pool were good fun.

I would recommend you to pack loose clothes preferably with elasticated waist band.

All in all we all had the most memorable experience and it’s one of the best hotels I have stayed in so far in my existence.

I still have Rixos Sharm (sister hotel) to compare it to, but not sure how anything can trump our experience here.

China town restaurant

After a fairly long discussion with friends over which Chinese to visit in Naama Bay (as there is a choice of 3 now) we finally chose China Town Restaurant in Naama Bay.

We pre-booked a table for 5 (there was no need as we were the only ones in there).

After spending at least 20 minutes looking at the vast menu we all decided what we were going to order. We were going to get a few dishes and have a free for all but instead we all order our own food.

We ordered;
Starters:
1 x Chicken & Sweet Corn Soup - better than the UK
2 x Shrimp Tempuras - nicest they’ve ever tasted, nice crispy batter.
2 x Chicken Dumplings (1 steamed & 1 fried) - very well flavoured, would choose fried next time.
2 x Vegetable Tempuras - a mixture of sweet potato, courgette, onion, green pepper, tomato, mushroom.
2 x Prawn Crackers - a small portion for the price.

Mains:
2 x Sweet & Sour Chicken Served With Jasmine Rice - delicious although the batter wasn’t crispy which is to be expected underneath all the flavourful sauce.
3 x Chicken Pad Thai (1 without nuts đŸ„œ) - very tasty, was missing scrambled egg and bean sprouts. 1 of us didn’t like it but they normally order a rice dish over a noodle dish so went out of their comfort zone and failed.
1 x Egg Fried Rice - egg fried rice is egg fried rice.
1 x Shrimp Massaman Curry - full of flavour and packed with shrimps just a bit watery.

Desserts:
1 x Fried Banana - tasty and crispy. Shared between 2.
4 x Fried Ice Cream - too big, would be better if the balls were smaller!! The coating wasn’t hot but the honey and raisins played a nice part.
We did order fried pineapple but they didn’t have any.

The food was excellent and we all said we would return (although we have many more restaurants to try before we do).

On the expensive side but portion size was huge.

Didn’t get pictures of the mains as we were all eager to eat the food.

Union Jack Sharm El Sheikh The Union Jack, Sharm El Sheikh

Every Thursday is curry night in The Union Jack.

This was the owner of the bars version of Chicken Rogan Josh. It was absolutely delicious. Usually served with rice but I asked them to add homemade chips as well.

Good value for money and the portion size was good.

I would highly recommend this curry*.

*(I can’t comment on the other curry’s they do)
