The International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) is a leading global non-profit organization established in 2008 that funds, produces, and synthesizes rigorous evidence on development policies in low- and middle-income countries.

At the Global Health Association (GHA), we believe in turning ideas into action - and this is exactly what we strive to do.

As part of this vision, we were proud to support the Harvard AI in Healthcare Hackathon at The American University in Cairo, in partnership with Orange Egypt, bringing together innovators, clinicians, engineers, and changemakers to design real AI-driven solutions for health systems.

This spirit of impact is also at the core of the Tomorrow’s Leaders Annual Symposium, featuring interdisciplinary panels around this year’s theme: Resilience in the Age of Turbulence, and how future leaders can drive meaningful change.

The connection? All of these initiatives are built on the same principle: Bridging the gap between knowledge and action. GHA helps create the space, community, and momentum to make it all happen

As societies navigate rapid technological change, environmental pressures, and ongoing political and social challenges, the Tomorrow’s Leaders Annual Symposium 2026 invites contributions exploring how communities across the MENA region respond to this Age of Turbulence.

We are looking for research and creative work that examines themes such as AI and digital transformation, environmental resilience, inequality and inclusive development, governance and human security, as well as new ways of turning knowledge into action and policy impact.

Scholars, students, practitioners, and creatives are encouraged to apply.

Here’s your chance to submit a short film that reflects this year’s theme: Regional Partnerships for Peace. 🌍

We’re calling on students across the MENA region to submit a short film, documentary, or PSA that tells a story of unity, cultural resilience, or cross-border collaboration.

🏆Prize Pool: EGP 225,000 (equivalent to $4500)

🥇 1st Place — EGP 100,000 (equivalent to $2000)
🥈 2nd Place — EGP 75,000 (equivalent to $1500)
🥉 3rd Place — EGP 50,000 (equivalent to $1000)
