Why does this pharaoh look like a woman? 👀
ruled Egypt over 3,300 years ago and his image still confuses scientists today.
Wide hips. Large breasts. A swollen belly. An elongated skull.
Yet he fathered at least 6 children.
3 theories try to explain it:
Religious — He believed he was the living symbol of BOTH male and female. One god. One creator. So he was depicted that way on purpose.
Genetic — Yale scientists found evidence of a rare hormonal condition that converted male hormones into female ones — causing the feminine body shape.
Still unsolved — No confirmed mummy has ever been found. No DNA test. The mystery is still open.
The ancient Egyptians weren't making mistakes.
They were showing us something we still don't fully understand.
3,300 years later — and we're still asking questions. 🏛️
