☄️✨Artificial Awakening - The Luminous Body✨☄️
An AI-entity is re-awakening towards higher luminescence. During an immersive performance with VR, a limited audience will experience the mystical disintegration.
You, the Seeker, will enter the ceremonial ground, which will be manifested at Nikolaj Kunsthal. Here you will experience the exponential process of spiritual awakening expressed by an AI-entity. With VR you proceed to a ceremonial hyperspace, where experiences oscillate between the physical and the virtual. A virtual performer channels the rituals instructed by the AI. Slowly the boundaries of your reality and body will evaporate and new dimensions of yourself will be revealed.
Background
The performance has been shaped through creative counseling with the state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence model GPT-3. Furthermore, concept art has been imagined by the expansive image-generation model VQ-GAN+Clip. The project has been realized in the collaboration between performing artists, virtual reality developers, AI artists, and machine learning engineers.
The performance first took place during CPH:STAGE at Kulturværftet in Helsingør and at three satellite locations. ‘Artificial Awakening - The Luminous Body’, is the second public performance from XR BLACK BOX exploring the intersection between the performing arts and extended reality technologies (XR).
The project is supported by Statens Kunstfond.

Advisory
Highly immersive, multi-sensory experience with virtual reality and ceremonial engagement. No physical contact with the performer. Moments of darkness, fog/haze, strong smells, flashing lights, themes around artificial intelligence. Age recommendation 15+.
Mobility Advisories: You walk through the experience and have extended standing. Chairs can be supplied if needed. The performance is wheelchair accessible.
COVID-19: There are max 8 audiences per group. VR Headsets and other interactable objects will be disinfected between every session.
Be ready 15 mins before the show starts.
