**IF ONLY THE YEAR HAD 364 DAYS 🎬**

2013. Civil war rages and Almourad Aldeeb is imprisoned by the Syrian regime for several months before managing to flee to Germany. After the fall of the dictatorship, he returns to the scene of his torment. Like a silent cry, his emotionless voiceover recounts the horrors that he and his friends endured. A stark and terrifying foray into Assad’s prisons.

Join us for a screening of *If Only the Year Had 364 Days* by Almourad Aldeeb, followed by a conversation on the situation of missing and disappeared persons in Syria today.

We will be joined by Jaafar Fakih and Rim El Gantri from the Independent Institutions on Missing Persons in Syria (IIMP) to discuss where things stand now in Syria, and what the current reality means for families who continue to search, wait and live with uncertainty.

A conversation about disappearance, memory, truth and the right to know what happened to those who are still missing.

And stay with us afterwards for the closing ceremony of Syrian Doc Days 2026 as we come together with our jury members to close this edition with the announcement of the awards winner of this year..
