Have you ever had doubts mid-way a sewing project?

My mum didn’t want any presents for her 70th, but she asked me to make her a ‘Snerle’ skirt to wear on the day. I could manage that!

She chose it to be made in a lovely crispy cotton poplin in the most intense olive shade from Beglarian Fabrics | Deadstock 🫒

when I sewed the skirt I thought to myself “wrong fabric choice… it’s not gonna work… “ there was just something that felt off and made me unsure.

But then I finished it and the minute my mum put it on my view of the fabric choice completely shifted! I was totally amazed with how well it had come out and especially the colour was just spot on for my mum who has a tan all year round!

Everyone at the party said it was the most beautiful skirt - and I agree. Funny how my feelings towards this particular skirt have gone through all stages 🙃

🌻 Solsikke dress appreciation post 🌻

Ida has been wearing her solsikke dress on repeat since she finished it a month ago. It’s so comfy but still very elegant. And the best thing is you can easily layer the dress over a t-shirt or shirt and keep wearing it even when the temperature starts to drop 🍂

Have you noticed she hacked the skirt into a simple 2-tier silhouette? This hack is super easy to recreate and will completely change the look of the solsikke dress.
