The past week has felt surreal, and not in a good way. Gathering as much information as possible, talking to friends around the world who's been affected (or know people who were).
Going through social media accoubts, getting rid of all the posts that have music. Music that we were encouraged to use 😮💨 even on this post it pops up with the familiar 'posts with music can get more reach',. Super helpful 😅
I'm aware, that as a business person, you are responsible for knowing what you are allowed to do and what not to do.
Here's the most basic example I can give;
Yeeears ago, in my 2 out of my 2,5 years of having a normal job 🥲 I was working in a supermarket (Netto). This supermarket was part of a larger company/corporation (also including, Føtex, Bilka & A-Z).
The particular store that I worked at was advertised the most heavily as 'discount'.
We were the only store from this corporation that wasn't allowed to play music/radio.
We'd play music in the mornings, but as soon as the store opened, we'd run to the office and turn it off.
So imagine these instagram accounts being Netto? 😅 We have speakers in our shops. We're able to turn on the music - it might even make more people come to the shop... but we're not allowed to - because a business needs to pay a licensing fee in order to do so.
That's basically What's going on with a lot of accounts on social media at the moment. We have the ability to turn on the music, but we're not allowed to 🥲
🫶 But what I will say is that in spite of all the heartship, I've had lots of smiles appear on my face as well. Going through all the posts are like going through a picturebook of happy memories. My mind re-visits all the happy memories associated with these pieces.
🩷 'Sugar Halos' is one of my all time favorite pieces. The warm light and the way the donuts glow and glistens ✨
