✨ What a wonderful two days at Kulturmødet Mors! ✨

Last Friday and Saturday, we had the pleasure of taking part in Børnenes Kulturmøde. 🎭

It was a great honour to represent Holstebro Kommune, alongside so many wonderful cultural institutions and artists who, every day, help make our city such a vibrant place for art, culture and creativity.

We had a fantastic time meeting and interacting with the audience through our street characters, leading a theatre workshop, and presenting our new children’s performance "Den Fantastiske Teaterbil" 🎭🚐

A big thank you to the Kulturmødet team, and especially to Sofie Bach Hansen, who invited us, and Yusuf Yassin Dualeh, who took such wonderful care of us throughout our stay. ❤️

Being part of this festival was truly enriching. It was wonderful to see children, artists and cultural institutions come together, exchange experiences and ideas, and inspire one another.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, played with us, and watched our performance 🥰

🎭 Forestillinger

✨ VÁLI THEATRE LAB IS BACK FROM SUMMER BREAK! ✨

We are back and ready to share our programme for the coming months, filled with new projects, performances and events dedicated to children and their families 💛

We are incredibly excited to kick off this new season with our brand-new format GLOW UP! Family Dance Playground, which will be part of the Horizon Festival in Herning 🪩✨

Right after that, we will head to Børnenes Kulturmøde, where we will present our children’s workshop “Det Flyvende Magiske Teater”, followed by our brand-new outdoor performance “Den Fantastiske Teaterbil” 🎭🚐

At the end of August, “Den Fantastiske Teaterbil” will return in a new pop-up version — playful, dynamic and ready to delight audiences of all ages — as part of Kalas, one of Holstebro’s most exciting events! 🎉

🌿 SEPTEMBER: VORES KVARTER, VORES SCENE
In September, we are excited to launch a new project in collaboration with Holstebro Kommune: “Vores Kvarter, Vores Scene”.

Throughout the weekends in September, the Ellebæk neighbourhood will come alive with events for children and families, creative workshops, performances, community dinners and much more. 💛

The full programme will soon be available on our social media channels and on Oplev Holstebro. ✨

🎪 EVENTYRHUSET – A NEW ADVENTURE
And to make September even more special, our artist in residence programme with Holstebro Kommune will officially begin with our project “Eventyrhuset” in collaboration with Holstebro Bibliotek and Holstebro Museum

The project will bring new life to the historic Bomhuset, transforming it into a space for imagination and creativity through performative installations, exhibitions and workshops, combining literature, theatre, music and visual art. 🎭📚🎶🎨

And here is a little sneak peek for the curious ones… 👀✨

The first installations will be inspired by Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” in November, followed by “A Christmas Carol” of Charles Dickens in December. 🎄✨

We are so excited about this bright future ahead and can’t wait to share this journey with you! 💛

Dear Tommy Bay,

You left us quietly and gracefully, just as you would used to walk into rehearsal rooms, town squares and streets to capture, through your lens, our work, and that of so many other artists.

One only has to look through our photographic archive to realise that you were by our side in every moment: from our very first arrival in Holstebro in 2013, to just a few months ago, when you captured the joy and energy of our community workshop at Sygehusgrunden.

Henri Cartier-Bresson once said: “To take a photograph is to align the head, the eye and the heart. It's a way of life.”

You embodied those words every single time. You brought together vision, thought, and sensitivity, making photography not just an art, but a way of being in the world.
We chose theatre; you chose photography. Different artistic languages, yet driven by the same need: to observe, to preserve, and to share life.

It was precisely this profound and radical choice, to devote one's life to an art that one loves, that brought us together and allowed us to share such a meaningful journey, both artistically and personally.

We are deeply grateful for everything you have left us. Your photographs preserve encounters, emotions, faces, gestures, and the time we shared together.
And even though you are no longer with us, your memory will continue to live on, through your images.

Thank you, Tommy.

With Love,
Valerio & Alice

🎉 We are happy to share some wonderful news! 🎉

Alice Occhiali and Valerio Peroni, founders of Váli Theatre Lab, will be Artists in Residence in Holstebro Kommune with their new project, Eventyrhuset.

🏠🐉🧚‍♀️📖 Holstebro's oldest and smallest house, Bomhuset, will be transformed into a magical world for children. Within its modest 32 m², a unique micro-theatre will emerge, blending performance, literature, art, and imagination.

✨ Supported by Statens Kunstfond, Eventyrhuset is a site-specific artistic project that brings together theatre, reading, art history, and installation art. At the same time, the project is an artistic exploration of Bomhuset itself, transforming the building's architectural and symbolic history into a living dramaturgy.

🙏 A big thank you to Holstebro Kommune, Statens Kunstfond, Holstebro Kunstmuseum, and Holstebro Bibliotek for your trust and collaboration.

We can't wait to share more as this magical journey unfolds! 🌟

Váli Theatre Lab have taken on the responsibility of keeping alive the spirit of the Laboratory through the transmission of the knowledge, practices, and values we received during more than ten years of professional collaboration with Odin Teatret.

Our commitment is directed toward the new generations of artists living and working in Holstebro and abroad, creating a bridge between the heritage we have inherited and the artistic possibilities of the future.

We describe ourselves as a LOTUS FLOWER.

Our roots reach deep into the fertile soil of history, drawing nourishment from the experiences, traditions, and knowledge that shaped us. Yet our flower floats on the waters of the present, responding to the challenges, questions, and transformations of contemporary time.

Like the lotus, our petals close in darkness and open to the light. We believe that artistic work is a continuous process of renewal, awakening, and growth.

Our color is blue—the color of spiritual wisdom, rebirth, and creation. It represents the search for depth, clarity, and imagination that guides our work as artists and educators.

Along our journey, many other lotus flowers, each different and unique, will bloom beside us. Together we will float on the transparent waters of art: firmly rooted in the earth, conscious of where we come from, yet always ready to be carried by the currents of the spirit, discovery, and creation.

In this way, Váli Theatre Lab seeks to cultivate a living artistic ecosystem—one that honours its roots while continuously opening itself to new voices, new generations, and new possibilities.

This vision has already begun to take shape through FREMTIDENS PULS ("The Pulse of the Future"), a project that embodied these principles over the course of five months.

FREMTIDENS PULS was conceived as a theatrical laboratory and creative forge, bringing together more than sixty students from Holstebro and around ten professional artists who collaborated closely with us throughout the process.

The project became a living space for encounter, transmission, and creation—a place where experience could be shared across generations and where artistic practice became a common language. Through workshops, performances, research, and collective experimentation, participants were invited to explore the relationship between roots and future, tradition and innovation, individual expression and collective creation.

For us, FREMTIDENS PULS was more than a project; it was a concrete manifestation of the path that Váli Theatre Lab wishes to pursue. It demonstrated how knowledge can be transmitted without becoming static, how heritage can remain alive through practice, and how new artistic communities can emerge when people gather around a shared commitment to creativity and human exchange.

A heartfelt thank you to Færchfonden for believing and supporting FREMTIDENS PULS PROJECT 2026.
Thanks to this contribution, we were able to bring this project to life, creating a space for participation, creativity, and community engagement during the months of February, March, April, May, June 2026 in the empty spaces of Sygehusgrunden.
It was an incredible adventure, with around 60 students involved, 4 institutions, and many other people from the community.

Your trust helped make this vision a reality during Holstebro Byfestival 2026.

FREMTIDENS PULS was born from the desire to connect, inspire dialogues, and celebrate the energy and potential of the future. Seeing so many people take part in the experience made this project truly meaningful!

We are deeply grateful for your trust, your vision, and your commitment to supporting cultural and community initiatives that make a positive impact.

We hope that FREMTIDENS PULS will fly high also in the future✨
