Spring exhibition programme 2026

It is now over, and we would like to thank everyone who exhibited their amazing art, to all who came by for openings and a lot of exciting workshops, and to all who helped with making all of the above happening!

Workshop & opening yesterday of Freja Kindt’s art exhibition in Tilgang🌼

The workshop invited participants to express themselves using oil pastels while listening to poems recited by Freja.
Afterwards the artworks were made, are now exhibited as a process focused exhibition - go see the works and read the poems in Tilgang until May 1st✨

Art Exhibition & workshop by Freja Kindt Jørgensen in Tilgang

Freja Kindt will be hosting a process-based art session on Tuesday 21 April at 4 pm, where we will be expressing ourselves using oil pastels on paper, with motifs inspired by poems.

Many of us have experience of drawing with chalk on the pavement or tarmac as children, and it is this free and exploratory inner child that I wish to bring to life.
I hope this workshop will provide a space to forget the pressures of everyday life, and shift the focus away from drawing a ‘good’ picture, and simply towards playing with the materials.

I will therefore read poems and hybrid texts aloud to provide inspiration for the drawings, so that participants aren’t staring at a blank sheet of paper. In addition, the poems/texts will be printed out so that the drawings can be exhibited alongside them.

There is space for 8–10 participants, and the drawings produced will subsequently be exhibited.

Others are, of course, welcome to observe the process and listen to the poems.

‘Held Lightly’ presents a series of abstract paintings and installations developed through intuitive, process-based painting. The works emerge through movement, attention, and responsiveness rather than pre-determined outcomes, allowing each painting to unfold through gesture, layering, and pause.

The practice behind the work centers on holding materials, decisions, and expectations lightly — creating space for uncertainty, curiosity, and embodied knowing. Colour and form are treated as lived experiences rather than symbols, inviting viewers to meet the work through sensation before interpretation.

In parallel with The Art of Playfulness, the paintings propose play not as performance or spectacle, but as a quiet, attentive state — one where presence, experimentation, and trust guide both the making and the viewing of the work.
