"Breaking free" 35x35 cm acrylic inks on canvas.
This little painting has travelled to the Copelouzos Family Art Museum in Athens as part of the "Germany 35x35 art project" and will become part of the museum's art collection.
A kingfisher in flight - bursting through shadow into light. Inspired by the myth of Alcyone, transformed by the gods into this radiant bird after tragedy, the kingfisher symbolizes resilience, rebirth, and serenity. This painting captures that moment of transcendence: the instant grief becomes grace, and stillness becomes motion. A tribute to every soul that dares to rise, even when the storm rages.
