I Love Basse Foundation we are condemning this act. This is against human rights. Human Rights Watch should look into this matter.

𝐀 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐢𝐤𝐓𝐨𝐤, 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐚 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭.

This is serious, and people need to stop this madness immediately. The people of Kaba K**a should come forward and apologize, but even an apology may not be enough to repair the harm caused.

Accusing elderly women of being witches is a dangerous and deeply rooted problem across Africa, and it’s heartbreaking to see it happening again. Sadly, this isn’t new—many years ago, similar accusations targeted women in Kaba K**a and Manneh K***a, feeding harmful taboos that still affect the younger generation today.

It’s time to end these baseless accusations and protect the dignity and safety of all elderly women in our communities. Let’s speak out against this injustice and ensure it never happens again.
