Super awesome Appa (drawing made by Zokka) for Nina!
This is from probably my favorite cartoon / anime of all time called Avatar the last Airbender. Loved this show as a child, binged the annual ATLA marathons on Nickelodeon and still think it's one of the best series ever produced. If you haven't seen it I highly freaking recommend you do. Like NOW.

Ibex tattoo for my friend Erik.
This Ibex cave painting was found in the Cave of Niaux in south western France and is dated back to 13.500 to 12.500 BC. Having stone age cave paintings face any other direction than to the left or right (profile) is very unusual and rare. Since it's so uncommon this cave painting is believed to be either two Ibex bumping heads fighting or one Ibex seen from behind (I think the second one is more plausible). But scientists still can't really figure out which version is more likely.
As always thanks to Erik who is as big of a stone age cave painting enthusiast as I am for giving me the opportunity to tattoo more cave paintings and to play with unusual placements for each tattoo. It's always a pleasure to have you and I can't wait to give you your next stone age cave painting tattoo!

These figurines are depicting women bodies and are dated to be 15.000 - 11.500 years old. They were found as carvings in stone as well as tiny carved wooden figurines and are supposed to show fertility with enhancing the breasts and waist aka b***y.

I love how simple they are and even if nowadays only showing b***s and b***y would be inappropriate and degrading women and female looks it’s kinda cool to see how the people back in the Stone Age celebrate the sacred shape of female bodies and how they are bringing new life into this world.

Hey everyone!
I'm so sorry for the radio silence the past few month but life has just been busy and I have some not so pleasant news.
Unfortunatley I've hurt my right wrist in the end of May and haven't been able to tattoo since. I've been to several doctors and got a few tests and NMRIs done.
The prognosis is that I won't be able to tattoo for at least 5 more months and after that I can only take on smaller projects until I'm fully recovered which I don't know when this will be.
I'm so sorry for everyone I've had to cancel and I'm also sorry for everyone new who's interested in my work and to whom I won't be able to provide what you're asking for.
Therefore until further notice I won't be tattooing. Fingers crossed for quick recovery!

A project I started a while ago before my wrist decided to give up and the government told us not to tattoo anymore.
Me and my client put this together inspired by kiever rus ornaments and decor found on various objects from that time.
The wiggly organic lines are very much intentional and were specifically asked for which I love.
More like this please! Which will happen because he wants his other arm to be exactly the same so I am looking forward to finish both your lower arms as soon as my wrist lets me. So stay tuned for part 2.

I've always wanted to make a stone age -y version of this appa drawing but for some reason never did.
But here you go, there it is!

Tattoo inspired by the lion-man from Hohlestein, Germany.
Shout out to my amazing flatmate who said "f**k yeah!" to this design! Thank you so much, you have no idea how much I enjoyed doing this!
The lion-man has several parallel markings shown as lines on its left arm (swipe) which are interpreted as tattoos or scarifications. As always no one really knows for sure but I like both ideas of those markings being decorative additions to the body.
This figurine carved out of mammoth ivory is one of the oldest pieces of art in human history dating back to 35.000 - 40.000 BC. Concidering our cultural lack of prehistoric or tribal/community (such as Inuit or Maori) evidence of tattoos in europe (besides Ötzi) I like the idea of this being partly something that could've been a cultural tattoo handed down as a ritual marking of spirituality or a sign for belonging to a community. Seeing this and knowing it's a tattoo/scarification/body decoration from european people makes me feel a little more connected to our ancestors here in central europe/Germany.

The benifits of having another just as stone age obsessed person as me living with me who already has a bunch of stone age cave painting tattoos made by me. It's his 3rd stone age tattoo I made for hik this year an I'm such a lucky person to be able to tattoo my favorite things for the last thing I do in 2020 even though it's Rona times.
