We are currently showing the group exhibition „Flowers“. You can visit the exhibition today, Wednesday, 15th June 2022, until 7 pm.

The works of Keiran Brennan Hinton appear like snapshots from everyday life. In these intimate everyday documentations, the Canadian artist captures moments from his immediate surroundings. The motifs are as personal as they are universal and draw the viewer's attention to the fleeting beauty of everyday life.

We are currently showing our group exhibition „Flowers“. You can visit the exhibition today, Saturday, 11th June 2022, until 4 pm.

With his painting, Ruprecht von Kaufmann takes up directly the tradition of classical still life. The title, which translates to „Vanitas Still Life", already reveals this claim, but the traditional pictorial motifs are broken up by intentional scratches in the linoleum, which he typically uses in his paintings of recent years as an image carrier, as well as everyday elements, such as a glass bottle as a vase.

Our new group exhibition „Flowers“ is open! You can visit the exhibition opening today, Friday, 10th June 2022, from 6 pm - 9 pm.

In the group exhibition "Flowers", we show a colourful and diverse selection of flower depictions by various artists. The works range from vase still lifes, as known from art history, to abstract color variations that can only be interpreted as flowers at a second glance.

"Rider with a book" 150x150cm 2022. This is from a new series of "Riders" paintings. This photo was taken in my studio in Kharkiv before russians started war against my country. I was preparing for my solo show in Stuttgart at Galerie Thomas Fuchs for 1 April 2022. For now, I dont know if I will see these works again, and not only the works..
Don't miss the current exhibition “Ashley Norwood Cooper - How High the Moon” at Galerie Thomas Fuchs in Stuttgart, which will be on display until 30 April. The artworks in this exhibition deal with the search for beauty within ineptitude and strength in vulnerability.

“We are returning full speed with both of our fairs in New York and Basel this year.” — Kamiar Maleki

VOLTA welcomes a vibrant cohort of over 50 national and international galleries, both new and returning to the New York edition. With a steady number of returning and established exhibitors from the early VOLTA days to a new group of young and emerging galleries, VOLTA Art Fair continues to be a place where you can discover artists and talent. VOLTA returns to New York in a new location at 548 West, the former Dia Art Foundation Building and Hauser & Wirth gallery space in Chelsea. Coinciding with Frieze New York, the fair will take place from Wednesday, May 18 to Sunday, May 22.

"We are very excited to see our collectors and friends again in person, as the reality of a personal meeting is a valuable good." — Ferhat Yeter, Director Anna Laudel (Istanbul/Düsseldorf)

"An enthusiastic participant of VOLTA New York until 2015, we are thoroughly excited to return. Seeing Kamiar Maleki at the lead, working with a great team, is key in our motivation. We are convinced that the new setup opens an array of new opportunities and directions for the participants as well as the public." — Zsolt Kozma, Partner & Artistic Director INDA Galéria (Budapest)

"It was at VOLTA New York in March 2020 when we last met our American collectors. We can't wait to see them again in May this year at the new VOLTA venue." — Thomas Fuchs, Director Galerie Thomas Fuchs (Stuttgart)

Yongchul Kim. Begegnungen

Galerie Thomas Fuchs

Current Exhibition: Galerie Thomas Fuchs, Stuttgart, until March 26, 2022

Begegnungen – Encounters. The meeting of objects, figures, and situations – is the central theme of the new works in the exhibition "Yongchul Kim. Begegnungen". While in Yongchul Kim’s earlier works individual figures were still searching for their own identity, they meet in various constellations.

Yongchul Kim (*1982) is one of the gallery’s most successful young artists. Living as a foreigner in Germany, the South Korean artist has been exploring questions of identity and reality in his work. Galerie Thomas Fuchs will present new paintings by Yongchul Kim at both VOLTA Art Fairs in New York in May and Basel in June.

Bastian Börsig explores the essence of what can be seen. The artist takes inspiration from everyday objects from his surroundings, which he abstracts beyond recognition in his compositions. He reduces the influence of his own memory on the object as much as possible, so the final form ultimately surprises him himself. The exhibition "Pillow Prototype" is on view at the gallery in Stuttgart until February 12.

Current Exhibition: Galerie Thomas Fuchs Stuttgart
until December 23, 20201

The exhibition "Somewhere There" provides a comprehensive look at the artistic work of Jochen Hein (*1960) over the past year. In addition to works from the "Antarctica" series, we also show green park and grass paintings. Because as the artist himself says, he needed something warm and green after depicting the colossal ice glaciers.
