We want to remind vou that you can be a part of our African Open Mic Event as an Artist. This time the African Open Mic will be Part of Black History Month Stuttgart. We are also back at our „old" Location Theater Rampe.

NOW ITS YOUR TURN:
You want to share your Story, Art, Poetry, Songs, or any other Performances? Everything is welcome on our stage. 🎙️🙌🏾

Dear Community, as part of the Black History Month 2024 in Stuttgart the African Open Mic will take place in February 24th at Theater Rampe. 🎭🙌🏾

The AFRICAN OPEN MIC STUTTGART invites black, African and Afro-diasporic people to perform, exchange ideas, listen and heal together in a cozy atmosphere. In a world that marginalizes people, creative expression becomes an outlet and a
mouthpiece. 🗣️

With this event, we explicitly want to create an appreciative, respectful space that is non-discriminatory and critical of power. The stage is open to artists from the fields of spoken word, dance and music. Whether singing, reading, writing poetry, dancing, performing or simply being there - everything is allowed! 🎤🎶🎸🎷🪕🪇

Please note: This event and especially the open mic stage are reserved specifically for Africans, Black people, people of African descent and the African diaspora. Your loved ones and friends of color are welcome in the audience. 🫶🏾

Reflecting on the memories of our last event, in collaboration with "empower2decolonize" Festival, we are filled with gratitude and joy. It was a vibrant and diverse community celebration, a true melting pot of sharing and creativity. Although time has passed, we want to acknowledge and thank everyone who made this event a resounding success. 👏🏽🫶🏽🙌🏼
